"Perfect central location. "
I was in Derby for a football match and found the hotel easily even though it was in the city centre. You could not get a more central location for experiencing Derby before and after the game. The ground is a 10 minute walk from the hotel, exactly as the hotel staff informed me. The private car park saves you a fortune in parking fees and is located perfectly for access. I was really impressed with the cleanliness and layout of the hotel. The room was spotless, spacious, and very very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with fresh replacements regularly. Check in/out was painless. Would not stay anywhere else when next in Derby

"Convenient hotel in Derby's cathedral quarter"
We stayed in Derby for 2 nights. The hotel is easy to find and a short walk into the shops, bars, restaurants etc. Our room was clean, warm and quiet. Breakfast buffet selection is very good, freshly cooked and available until 11am at the weekend. Good value.

"Close to the airport"
We had a one night stay when going to a family celebration. The staff were very welcoming on our arrival and the check in was easy and straight forward. Our room was clean and well appointed with a very comfortable bed but there was only one easy chair and the other one was like a dining chair. We would have appreciated two easy chairs. The reception area was very comfortable and it was much appreciated that we could have a drink while waiting for our other family members to arrive at the hotel. They had requested a large room with a cot for their 6 month old baby boy - all their requests had been followed through. We only ate breakfast in the hotel but it was lovely. You could have as little or as much as you wanted and the minute you sat down the staff were at your table asking if you would like tea or coffee. We had a very pleasurable stay and would definitely book to stay at this hotel again

"Excellent in every way!"
Just loved this hotel. It was easy to find in beautiful surroundings. The Receptionist was welcoming and efficient. We had the best cream tea when the waitress presented us with a specialist tea box with an array of teas in delicate jars (not in bags) and freshly baked scones. Our room in the cottages was warm and cosy with every amenity, comfy beds, classy toiletries and fresh (yes fresh) milk for our beverages. Dinner in the brasserie was excellent with an impressive wine list. The breakfast table was the best I have seen in a long time and again the breakfast staff were friendly and helpful and impressed us with their obvious love of the hotel. Nothing was ever too much trouble for all the staff. Upon check-out, the Receptionist (a different one) took time to recommend local places of interest. Alll in all a lovely hotel experience and one which I would like to repeat again and again.

Hotel looks a bit like a night club at the front cold corridors leading to the rooms 7 degrees outside temperature posh signage but needs L E D lights to see them better as they are flat to the wall. Room overcrowded for two adults to much heavy furniture and a depressing brown colour. Radiator controlled by TRV behind chair bed lined clean as was the room,. need long arms to open the top window, tripped over the alarm clock lead not required this day and age . Bathroom clean shower curtain clean extractor fan not working so room becomes a sauna after a shower. Bath takes a long wile to empty and needs a AAV as it gurgles from the adjacent room. Have stayed in better B W, including the ones in India. Well done staff very helpful warm coffee from a push top jug in the morning not very good, ok for conferences . would look elsewhere if staying in that area again.

"Lovely hotel"
Really nice hotel, unfortunately it was rather noisy on the first night of our stay as there was a wedding being held there and people were coming and going until early hours of the morning. The rooms are very nice and clean. We booked a twin room but were given a double bed and a sofa bed.

Derby is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Derby, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Derby hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
