"Base for attending the Buxton Festival"
We stayed for 3 nights in order to join in with the Buxton festival and this included breakfasts, which were excellent, and two evening meals which were well presented and flavoursome. The staff were efficient and attentive. Our room was very spacious with a good view over the car park to an historic domed building now used as a college.

"Excellent facilities and service"
We really enjoyed our stay. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, room was spacious and characterful, breakfasts were excellent, catered for my GF diet without any fuss. Bed very comfortable, rocking chair was a treat! Table and chairs outside on the veranda. Relaxing lounge. Great recommendation for dinner!

"Only just re-opened so will be good"
The place had only just re-opened so wasn't offering evening meals, which as it was one of the main reasons for book was a disappointment. The breakfast was lovely so when the place is fully functional I expect it will be a great place to stay.

"Variable"
If your priorities are a nice breakfast and a comfy bed this will be a great place for you. However, breakfast isn't served until 9am. The owner was not very friendly but the helpers were very nice. Service was quirky...

"Friendly Hosts Great Food"
We recieved a great welcome at this very friendly Inn. Our room was comfortable and full of character. They had been extremely busy at lunch time but the chef came out to speak to us and cooked us an evening meal of our choice which was delicious! The breakfast was ample and tasty. We ate in a beautiful panneled room full of interesting things. Maybe not to everybodys taste but we loved it. Do not stay here if your taste leans towards the corporate!

"Great hotel, fantastic position"
When we arrived we were unsure at first as the decor is a little dated which makes the hotel appear old, but the service was brilliant. The position is right across the road from the Pavilion, and the Opera House and also there are a few bars, wine bars and restaurants close by. The room was very clean and comfortable, not sure about the themed rooms though, ours had pictures of Demi Moore all over the walls but the shower was very efficient and hot.We were glad we decided to eat in the hotel, we had the home made soup which was exactly that and it was lovely, followed by the roast lamb dinner which as huge and at just below eight pounds for the main course it was what you would have had to pay anywhere else so we were very satisfied. The breakfast was great with toast, cereal, OJ full English if you want.Overall a very nice stay would recommend it to all.

Buxton is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Buxton, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Buxton hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
