had a terrible experience with both the hotel and Expedia. On the day of my scheduled stay, I unfortunately came down with COVID and immediately contacted Expedia to request a courtesy cancellation, given that I’m a loyal customer. Expedia advised me to contact the hotel directly. When I called the hotel, I spoke with the manager on duty. He initially refused to cancel the reservation, stating that because I booked through a third party, there was nothing he could do—and that he would have been willing to help if I had booked directly as a Hilton Honors member. After I informed him that I am in fact an Honors member, he still declined to assist. I then asked whether he would prefer that I come to the hotel and risk exposing other guests to COVID, to which he replied that it was “my prerogative.” I found this response highly inappropriate and irresponsible, as it showed a complete disregard for guest safety and public health. After further discussion, he changed his stance and claimed that Expedia was responsible for issuing a cancellation or refund. However, after multiple follow-ups with Expedia, I was informed that this was not true. Both parties have essentially passed responsibility back and forth, leaving me with no resolution and an extremely frustrating experience. I hope this matter can be reviewed so that other guests are not treated the same way in similar circumstances.

The A/C worked very poorly and two long black hairs in shower tub and one in bathroom sink . I have very short blonde hair so they weren't mine. I did inform the front desk at checkout. Other than that place was very nice

The reception was so bad attitude, they’re tried to charge the guests extra $60 for check in before 15:00 and charge the guests for later check out after 11:00 a.m. So each room only provides 20 hours a day. This is very unfair operating! I have even dictated by the receptionist to delay the check in by 16:00 till I ask to see their manager. But they are refused. The manager is not showing. This hotel will be on the black list on the internet!

If you book a stay for vacation in new york the hotel is good for this they have a shuttler to the bus station for free

I had a truly horrible experience at this hotel. They refused to honor my Expedia reservation, claiming they never received payment. When I arrived, the staff told me the “best option” was to rebook directly with them at nearly double the original rate, since it would now be considered a last-minute booking. Expedia tried to resolve the situation, but the hotel falsely reported that I was a no-show—even as I stood there in the lobby. I wasn’t the only one: while I waited (over two and a half hours), I saw several other guests being told there were “issues” with their Expedia reservations. The staff showed no concern, were completely unhelpful, and were rude in how they handled the situation. I was told they did have rooms but I would have to pay directly at a much higher rate, and I am sure they do that continuously because they get away with it. Not much else is around at a walking distance. In the end, Expedia refunded me, but that didn’t solve the problem of being stranded without a room. I ended up checking into the DoubleTree next door. Yes, it cost me twice as much, but the difference in service was night and day. The DoubleTree staff were professional, welcoming, and made my stay comfortable. If you’re considering this hotel, do yourself a favor and skip the Executive Inn entirely. Go straight to the DoubleTree next door—you’ll save yourself a lot of stress and actually be treated like a valued guest.
