We stayed in the Dennen Suite. This farmhouse is derelict and filthy. Giant stains on the carpet, missing handle on the sink, hole in the shower drain, large sections of paint peeled off sections of the wall/door. Not to mention the noise. The inn keeper says they had never had this complaint, but we had someone knocking on our door close to midnight and knocking on our floor, whomever was in a unit next to us must have been wearing wooden clogs and clomping around until midnight then awake and clomping again at 5am sharp. Add to that the hound dogs howling but they quieted down by 10pm. Inconveniently, the inn keeper isn’t available 9pm-9am so if you book this place bring ear plugs! Another thing, no way to control the temperature in the room and it smells old and dusty so if you wanted to stay in a place that will remind you of a stuffy grandmother’s attic, this is the place.

This was a lovely property. They have a cute wine hour in the afternoon with charcuterie board and fresh cookies. We took the snacks out on the patio and enjoyed the fresh air. The room was clean and cute. The bed was phenomenal! It felt like a cloud. I highly recommend this property

Great location. Owners were great, even arranging Skunk Train tickets to the Glen Blair Bar on Saturday evening. Our issues were the condition of the property. We had the Onyx Room. The fireplace is for looks only, as there is no way to turn it on. Very small, triangle shaped shower with grout that could use a good scrubbing. No bar soap in the shower, only shampoo and conditioner. Sink was outside the toilet/shower area across the room. My husband saw a mouse running along the back of the coffee area and droppings in the morning on the sugar tray. Microwave was dirty on the outside. Garden needed maintenance and was shabby looking with yard waste piled up. Entire property needs a fresh coat of paint. This could be a lovely place if it were better maintained.

Cute motel. The only thing is that you could hear your neighbors.

Beautiful grounds with incredible views at a great location and a nice room, but it was not disclosed that our room (Diamond) did not have a shower! That is a standard amenity in a room these days and we should have been made aware prior to booking. There was a large whirlpool-like tub with a hand-held sprayer so it was possible to get clean, but it wasn't the luxurious experience that we were expecting (and paid) for for the 2 days that we were there.
