Good option for the price

Pulling in I was immediately met with a very well lit parking lot which yave me a peace of mind. After enduring a 9 hour trip my legs were sore and I was ready to lay down so it was awesome to be met with smiles from the concierges' on duty that Wednesday night and for the extra effort and courtesy feom the concierge that assisted me of being put in a room downstairs. The description stated that there would be breakfast however since I hadnt planning on eating breakfast in the AM i didnt give much thought to not being told what time breakfast started and ended at check-in. There are signs posted that inform guests that breakfast must be eaten in the lobby, which I think may be a benefit to the hotel but an inconvenience for guests who prefer to eat in the privacy of their room. In my opinion maybe restricting the amount if food that is taken to the room may deter guests from taking more than they will eat at one time. I will admit I have been known to grab a couple of muffins for the road, which I would imagine if a majority of guests grabbed food for the road would increase the hotels food expenses. Walking in the room the first thing I noticed was the smell of the carpet that most hotels that still have carpet in their rooms have it wasnt off putting but it wasnt inviting either. The room's appearance overall was clean. Channel guide was a plus as well. There were restaurant and gas options nearby. Only minutes away from 95.

It’s a 10 from Len…clean, fresh, quiet. Everything is brand new, shower, carpet, curtains, bedding. Great stay located back off the road a bit compared to all the other hotels in the area so very quiet! It does have outside doors but makes it easier to move things in from the car. Front desk friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again when traveling through the Florence area

I had a very unpleasant stay. First, the floors and carpets were extremely dirty, and there were bugs in the beds and rooms. One of the worst parts of the experience was in the breakfast room. An older man working there did not allow me to take any food with me for my children, even though I had paid for two rooms and breakfast was included for all of us. My kids couldn’t eat early, and since we were traveling and in a hurry, I tried to take a small amount of food (just a piece of bread, butter, and cheese) to the car for them. I was told I couldn’t do that, and they had to come in and eat in the cafeteria. It was very embarrassing, and I felt disrespected. In the end, my children didn’t eat anything, and it felt like a waste of money and time.

I recently stayed at Howard Johnson by Wyndham in Florence and had a great experience. The room was clean, well-maintained, and surprisingly spacious. The bed was very comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly—especially important in the Carolina heat! What really stood out was the staff. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and helpful—from check-in to check-out. They made sure I had everything I needed and answered my questions with a smile. The location is convenient, right off the highway, and close to restaurants, gas stations, and stores. It’s a great spot for a stopover or even a short stay while exploring the area.

The room felt cold and damp. The bed had a rubber-like sheet and pad that felt clammy. I was tired and it was midnight, but I knew that sleeping in the bed would be impossible and refused the room and left. I hope that I will be able to get a refund from Expedia!
