Staff were great! The bar in the hotel and the location great! Bar food good. Hotel rooms are just a bit ‘tired’ and ‘basic’. Breakfast is average.

This is a nice, modern hotel with good, helpful staff. The only issue is the location - it looks close to Central Station, but the direct route involves a steep staircase with more than 100 stairs, and that isn't easy with luggage.

We stayed at Langley Castle Wednesday and Thursday. The castle itself is stunning, towering stone walls, peaceful grounds and interiors that balance medieval character with modern comfort. The staff were exceptional throughout our visit, friendly, attentive and genuinely welcoming. Check in was smooth and the breakfast and the evening meal was very good. I booked the castle view room with the roof terrace, it was very quiet, apart from the visiting Peacocks and Peahens, and is accessed from the room via double glazed doors; there is also an air conditioner in the room which was a godsend! The bathroom unfortunately is very dated and needs some money spending on it to bring into the 21st century, (the shower was awesome though) some new furniture would be a good addition as well, unfortunately the room was very dusty and needed a good clean. The grounds are peaceful and perfect for a quiet walk. The castle is full of history to explore or as we did have a relaxing escape. Overall we had a lovely stay and would happily return. Langley Castle is a unique peaceful and interesting venue.

Big shout out to receptionist she was so helpful. Night staff on door could be more professional and polite when checking our names when we came back at 11.30pm.

Great stay! Great location with plenty of local bars and clubs. Very friendly staff. Lovely apartment and very clean. Pleasantly surprised by the kitchen utensils!

Nice hotel close to all the sights bars restaurants of Newcastle. Staff friendly and hotel nice and clean. Would stay there again.

Pub was dated, and our room had a shower/toilet in a pod, so read the small print when booking. The pod was extremely small with little room to manoeuvre and the extractor fan did not work. Also music could be heard in our room from downstairs. The positive is the shower was warm, the staff extremely friendly and the breakfast good. Also the local clientele were warm, friendly and welcoming
