Room was beautiful! We had a ground floor looking out onto the pool. The wifi wasn't the greatest but I am sure it is the location of Borrego Springs in general in a deep valley surrounded by mountains. This is a very small and quiet place not alot happening but a great place to unwind and to relax! We ate most of our meals on site and it was delicious. We also ate at Carlees in town that was really good as well.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful upon our arrival. The restaurant even fired up the grill to reheat ribs for my wife and I. When we got to our room, the room had an odor that smelled of moth balls. When we went to take a shower and there was no hot water. The water was lukewarm at best. It was late and the front desk was closed. When we left the next morning, I told them there was no hot water in our room. The lady said, "Again?" For a room over $200 I was hoping for a hot shower. Check your water temp first to make sure you have hot water.

"In the middle of nowhere... but a perfect getaway"
I traveled from the East Coast (Maryland) with my dad and brother to see my sister who is staying down the street. I wanted something close knowing that we really weren't spending a lot of time at the ranch. The hotsprings were amazing which I didn't know were there when I made the reservation. The ranch takes you back in time and if you're an outdoors kind of person, this is the place for you. It could use a little updating, but the rustic feel was nice. All the meals we ate at the ranch were very good as well, being that there's nothing else close. It's in the middle of nowhere, but very relaxing and beautiful! I would definately stay there again.

The desert dominates East County. Here, wildflowers bloom in the spring at the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. This isolated stretch of land is California’s largest state park. Nearby, soothing mineral waters welcome visitors at a pair of hot springs, one in Jacumba and one in Agua Caliente. Nestled in the Cuyamaca Mountains, the historic town of Julian offers a glimpse of Gold Rush California.
