The Morning Star Beach rooms are located right on the beach, and the resort fee gives you access to the chair, umbrellas and more. The grounds and outside of the units are well maintained. The inside of the units are clean, but showing some age. I heard there is major renovation of the Morning Star Beach buildings coming soon. The staff were very pleasant and attentive. We had dinner at the Sunset Grill, and it was great. Great food, Great scenery with the sunset, lights of Charlotte Amalie, and watching cruise ships leave the port. This part of the resort is the signature feature. The infinity pool, the bar, and the Sunset Grill are really cool to look at. We only stayed 2 nights on the back of a St John vacation; not sure we would stay more than 2 or 3 nights. The hotel prices for food and beverage really add up. I think next time we may stay in the main hotel area. Great Stay overall!

this is a older facility but in good shape it is a beautiful location and has excellant snorkeling. it has a good restaurant and good food. it has some problems that should be fixed. the curtains were to small for the window and were literally falling apart on the window. the bed spread and sheets were stained and should have been replaced long ago. the floor was dirty and I swept and mopped the floor myself while the cleaning crew were standing around talking. remember you are on island time while you are here, that means no one is in a hurry to do anything. staff was very friendly. this could be a 4.5 facility.

Visit was nice, arranged transportation was always on time. Breakfast was always good. Lunch buffet was good, with alternative menu option. Dinner for us was on time when we ate indoors(6 pm), was late generally when we at dinner outside, also very windy at times, so food cooked quickly. Staff was always professional and eager to assist, staff made us feel at home. Rooms were clean, and cleaning staff did a good job. Bathrooms needs ventilation, stayed hot, no way to get fresh air into bath. Good visit wecwill return.

The Buccaneer is a superbly designed and maintained resort, very kid friendly, yet similarly adult friendly as well. The beaches are typical white sand Caribbean beaches, and swimming and snorkeling are both well supported. There are dining facilities at the beach and in a main house, typical for this type of resort. The owner/manager, Mrs.Anderson, is always available and very personable. The rooms we had, the "Luxury Dubloons", are separate houses with two apartments at ground level, and two on a second floor. I would strongly suggest using the upstairs rooms given privacy and silence in the evening. There is modest nightlife available at the resort, the setting and setup more suited to taking a break and enjoying excellent downtime. The location in close proximity to Christiansted made it easy to go out for alternative dining or other visits beyond the resort. One note, in the USVI's they drive on the LEFT, pay attention to that when booking a rental car or you are in for a very significant surprise.
