Although a little difficult to find at first, it's well worth the small walk from the entrance. Overall an excellent small business hotel. All amenities, including free Wi-Fi, which is very rare in Russia. Friendly staff. Breakfast could be a little more complete and the availability of CNN or BBC would be am improvement. Just remember that the hotel entrance is actually 50 meters from the entrance on Professor Popov street, inside the couryard.

The former Katerina park hotel missed the mark on several simple things that would have made the stay more pleasant. Window curtains did not actually cover the window. is a serious negative problem Climate control that was non existant leaving the room very hot with the only control being to open the window. The old minibar selection was reduced to bottles of mineral water.
On a plus side the new Russian Tea in the evening is a nice idea and the breakfast is still good. Although i miss the mushrooms. The staff or courteous and helpful in both russian and english but had trouble figuring out the final bill. Over all i would stay there again.

"Convenient, small, good value for central location"
Ten mins walk from Paveletsky, which is on the Metro and the terminus for the airport train. Easy to find. Pav Square is being excavated but no access problems.
Quiet leafy location where the canal meets the Moscow River. Single room small but clean & comfy. Good breakfast.
