I travel alot for work, so I can definitely say this is a very enjoyable place to stay.
We had the kids and the new puppy along and they had a great time.
They pool was indoor and heated, the mural on the wall was great.
The breakfast is not a hot one, but had nice touches, like good local coffee and organic apple cider.
The new maid didn't provide good service, or any at all, but the management was responsive.
I would recommend this hotel for sure

Wonderful staff, clean modern rooms. Terrific breakfast and other snacks. My only qualm is with lack of sound proofing: both between rooms and to the outside. We could hear our next door neighbors easily. And the passing traffic seemed to be inches away.

Upon our arrival we were directed to a room that was not only unheated, but incapable of being heated. The staff responded promptly to that problem and provided us with a different room in which the heater was in working order, but I wonder what we'd have done if there had been no other available room.

"Very warm and cozy room with a rustic cabin feel"
From the moment we arrived - which was much later in the evening - there was a hotel representative there to walk us through everything found on the hotel grounds. When it came time to go down to our room she was nice enough to go out in the rain, walk down the hill and show us where we could park.
Our room was wonderful. The walls were completely covered with pine boards giving it a real cabin look and feel. We also loved the wood burning fireplace and the nice deck and sitting area outside with a view of the hotel gardens. Another nice thing about the fireplace - they had kindling and firewood along with paper stacked outside your room for easy access. The room had all the ameneties we needed - microwave, refrigerator, and a Keurig. The lobby and adjoining dining areas were very nice. Same rustic cabin feel lined with pine along with a beautiful stone fireplace and a roaring fire. The breakfast menu is completely vegan and much of the food is actually grown in a garden on the hotel grounds. Not being vegans ourselves we were actually very surprised at how good and flavorful the food was. We would recommend the Stanford Inn to anyone seeking s quiet weekend getaway.

Nick and is family are wonderful hotel hosts. 1 minute to check in. Extra towels within 2 minutes of request.
Super close to old town shopping and restaurants. We slept well except for all the pick up trucks warming up their engines at 5, 6, and 8 am. It seems this is the case st most hotels in ukiah. Perhaps if we had been upstairs it would have been quieter.
