The room is clean and very trendy. Nice views of the hinterland which is where the sunsets. The tram and shopping at Pacific Fair are a very short walk.

We live an hour plus from town so opted to stay at the airport the night before with our two pre-schoolers ahead of a 6am international flight. It worked perfectly and we'd absolutely stay again ahead of anouther early flight.

Flew in after midnight and once we found our way to the hotel had a shortish wait in reception to check in as there were two couples in front and the system was running slow. Once up in the adjoining rooms we were able to get settled and our young ones in to bed pretty quickly. My only feedback in the room would be the adjoining doors do not stay open. We had to move some furniture around to chock the doors open so our little ones could find us in the night if needed. We caught the tail end of breakfast which we had not prepaid as for two little kids it was very expensive. Turned out to be expensive anyway. Just ordering toast for the kids was $17NZ and for my partner and I to have an omelette and a drink brought to total up to $69NZD. Overall though was a good stay and we would stay there again when we fly in at night.

As a convenient hotel to spend the night after flying into Wellington airport very late, it was satisfactory. Having written that, I found the facilities to be very average. Rooms are quiet but lack things like the ability to cool the room down at night and lacking bedside light switches. The breakfast was OK but the arrangement of items was really odd - small plates and cups were not obvious and I never did find teaspoons when they should have been with the tea/coffee making things or with the other cutlery. Strange places for things when it should be a natural flow. I hope this helps.
