I am a presidents club member and although I haven't been to Winnipeg in many years I found the overall experience to just ok.
First I called ahead to reserve an early check in as I knew I had an early meeting upon my arrival. When I arrived my room was not ready. I wasnt happy with the way the gentleman explained the no guarantee policy. However my colleague that was with me has his room ready and he didn't call ahead. there was 2 other people in the lobby checking in that all rooms were ready for.
In my room the rad was very loud every 20 minutes kicking in heat. It sounded like someone breaking in all night.

The hotel is great for a getaway. The province groom ski trails you can ski right from the hotel. The spa pools are fantastic. The problem is that there are really no options for tweens and teens in terms of swimming. You're too old for the kiddie pool and not permitted in the hot tubs etc. You have loud adults drinking alcohol and quiet teens are not permitted. The rule should be that the spa pools are for quiet people regardless of age. Staff are all nice except for one cranky one.
Love the hotel. Great service, great room. The room was so quiet and the beds so comfortable that I slept better than I have in years. The included breakfast was so great that I happily have a couple of pounds to lose.
