The hotel is downtown and very convenient for us. We were able to walk to almost everything on our list ( we do like to walk and did about 10km a day). The staff were great and the hotel was safe and clean. Some of the features surprised us ( the shower stall is visible in the room although it has muted glass)

I really enjoyed my stay at the Alt Hotel. The rooms are modern, stylish, and very comfortable, with lots of thoughtful details that make the experience feel boutique without being overpriced. The hotel itself is clean, well-designed, and feels like great value for the quality you get. Being close to downtown also makes it convenient for restaurants, events, and getting around. The only downside for me was the surrounding area. The hotel is near Central Park and Ellice Avenue, and unfortunately that part of the city has higher crime rates. While the inside of the hotel feels safe and welcoming, stepping outside at night can feel uneasy. Overall, I would recommend the Alt Hotel for its comfort and design, but I do think it’s important for travelers to be aware of the neighborhood.

The hotel and the staff are great. This part of Winnipeg is central and gets you everywhere but the homeless people don't make you feel comfortable.
