A very pleasant stay..the room was wonderful, staff very friendly, bed was very comfortable, and the complimentary drinks and appetizers were a great surprise..no hotel that we have previously stayed at has done that before. The buffet breakfast was delicious. Overall. The BEST hotel we've stayed at!

We had a one night stay for business that weekend and the room was excellent, comfortable, aesthetically pleasing etc. It was like staying in a piece of art. I enjoyed my stay for the night and would not mind coming back again.

I was in Idaho Falls for a one-day conference -- a quick trip in, quick trip out. The Shilo Inn Suites Hotel is easy to get to and has ample parking. One breakfast is included with the room -- a no-frills self-serve buffet of a few items (eggs, sausage, potatoes) with juice/coffee. The first-floor bar/restaurant has a good happy hour, with a decent selection of drinks and beers on tap.
The hotel is right on the river, with a nice (on the large side) indoor pool and hot tub.The room was clean but dated. Superficial updates (furniture, pillows, etc.) had been made to an otherwise 1980s-esque construction. The shower was on the small side -- it felt like the shower in my college apartment. Again, it did what was needed of it w/out bells and whistles.
I was on the first floor -- a few doors down from the pool/bar/restaurant -- and at 4pm when I checked in the hallway was still littered with the residual from the prior night's room service. Literally dozens of plates and cups lining the hallway. Garbage cans in the lobby were overflowing when I arrived, and when I checked out the next morning. Very odd. I think that they are under-staffed. Being on the first floor, I heard everything in/around me -- the walls are thin.
From what *they* told me, the hotel services a number of tour groups from Asia and Europe -- and while I was there no less than five full buses of tourists pulled in. Other than the rapid turnover and the constant in/out flow, this wasn't a problem at all.
