The Riverside Hotel is a wonderful facility. I would add, however, that the majority of rooms are not available by elevator and there are up to 20+ stairs you have to navigate to get to your room. Not so bad coming and going throughout your stay, but when you're lugging suitcases up and down it is quite challenging. I would suggest requesting a room either on the 1st floor or on the 700 block of rooms that are readily available from the 1 elevator they have.

Resort prices minus the resort.

Had to switch rooms because the first rooms fan was not working. Took two hours for hotel to send tech. Second room: shower water not consistent. Went from hot to cold without warning. Room had an odor to it that was not pleasant. Purchased air freshner to use in room. Bed was not level so feet were above head. Bed was nothing great. Pool was great but had many children. Grounds were very well kept. Breakfast was good but overpriced at 25 a plate. Drinks were also very expensive, ten dollars for a mimosa. Has good facilities like an outdoor pool with seasonal bar which was also overpriced compared to similar venues. The actual rooms are not the quality you would expect at this price point. Overall the hotel is definetly not worth the price. The brunch that they pride themselves on is by no means 5 star. Holiday Inn Express would give it a run for its money.

The Riverside is an oasis

We enjoyed the location and all the amenities of the hotel. We had our pet with us and it was a stress-free stay for all of us. They also had a variety of live music options we really appreciated.

Hotel amenities lovely. But we were traveling with a family member in a wheelchair and it is not a wheelchair friendly hotel. The one elevator we had assess to, ramp was blocked by a work trailer. Staff was apologetic but made no attempt to move us or move the trailer. Showers in both rooms did not work. I’ll stay again if just my husband and myself, but will not stay if needing ADA accommodations.

We absolutely loved our stay! Was sincerely one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had. The staff were kind and courteous, the free live music was wonderful, the huge bathtub was amazing, and the signature candied bacon and signature oatmeal for breakfast were outstanding. Wonderful location for a weekend getaway. We will be back next time we’re in Boise.

Relaxation Found

We drove to Idaho from Louisiana and spent the week in the mountains for our daughter's wedding. Needless to say, we just wanted a very relaxing night and we found it at The Riverside. Our stay was wonderful with the highlights being the jetted tub in the room, which was very clean, and the indoor pool/hot tub/sauna area. The one negative is the cleaning staff coming in our room at 9am when check out is not until 11am. It is fine to knock but not to just enter with your key. The breakfast buffet was delicious and the boardwalk along the river was a great surprise. We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to Boise.

Great place to stay. Walking the riverfront was very nice after dinner. Pool area was great. Breakfast was very good. Definitely will be back.

Dissapointing

We usually love staying at the Riverside and it has always been our go to hotel at least 4 to 5 times a year, but this time was different with the shower not working, cobwebs all throughout the lobby, the food and service was absolutely horrible at the sand bar and the drinks that were supposed to be ice cold and refreshing were lukewarm at best.
