The pools were great with lifeguards and security people that were competent and courteous. We enjoyed the little library with books in English, the good beach to walk from end to end, and the restaurants and shops across the street. We had stayed here two years ago and found that some needed updates had been made to the room keys, elevators, and general painting in the lobby and halls. Very little English was spoken, but that was fine as we were there to relax, read, swim, walk, etc.

Villas Miramar is a very good hotel. Great location .. right on the beach and close to town and eating venues. Very nice garden & pool area with lots of shade and umbrellas. Staff is very friendly and helpful, and speak good english. Rooms were very clean and very roomy. Spent 2 weeks there and will definitely stay there again next time.

Very nice experience. I rated it 4 stars because of 3 issues: 1) To access the beach you must go down two (maybe 3) flights of stairs, so it is not customer friendly to senior citizens and the disabled, as you must go back up...installing a special lift for these type of persons would be nice. 2) The beach was clean but the ocean was not. I saw, floating, a plastic bag, a half lemmon, a plastic fork, a condom among other things... 3) Although not the hotel's fault, you can hear noise from the street; accross the street there is a bar with blasting speakers and the music goes on most of the night. I was on the eight floor and could still hear it! Fortunately I had ear plugs with me. Everything else excellent
