Excellent location. Great front desk and bellman staff. Roof top dining view is beyond amazing. Rooms very comfortable. You could see the Acropolis from where we were, the National Botanical Gardens are right across the street and it’s within walking distance to so many things you want to visit on a trip to Athens!

Although we were only at the Athens Gate one night, it was very clean and nice accommodations. Helpful agent at check in. And the rooftop restaurant was amazing. The food and view were fantastic!

The Athens Gate Hotel restaurant has a wonderful view of the acropolis. The dinner at night at the rooftop restaurant with the lights on the Parthenon made a beautiful memory. The hotel is in easy walking distance to so many famous sites.

We spent 3 days/2 nights in Athens at the beginning of our Greece vacation. Athens Gate Hotel was the perfect location having limited time to see the primary attractions. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating to any needs. The hotel is 1 block from a primary entry to the Plaka neighborhood. Shops an Tavernas are plentiful within a short walk. The Acropolis South Slope entrance and Acropolis Museum were both less than a 5-minute walk. The neighborhood of Monastraki with its shopping/market is only a 15 minute walk. We recommend paying the extra $25-$30 euro per night fee for a guaranteed Acropolis or Olympic temple of Zeus view. Rooms have larger open balconies. Definitely worth it.
