Decent hotel option for a stay in Athens

A nice place to stay when in Athens, with a fabulous roof terrace and pool, with sweeping views across the city. Service was a little lacking at times but it was busy and when the staff were dealing with you they were for the most part, very friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was one of the best I’ve had *****. Rooms was spacious and comfortable (premium Acropolis view) but the balcony was a bit dirty and needed maintenance. The location was a 30 minute walk from the heart of the action, Acropolis etc, so not really central and has some issues with homelessness, but that’s fairly typical of most big cities of course. Overall a good hotel, made extra special by the rooftop pool and terrace.

Bad area

American First time visiting Athens so didn’t know any better. Booked a standard room so didn’t expect much but the Pictures made the room look much better. There was a wierd smell and the AC was leaking a strange fluid. The hotel isn’t in the best location. The streets are dirty/smelly, and there isn’t much to do close by except drink and eat. The best part of this hotel was the rooftop bar/pool which we spent most of our free time. The view of the Parthenon was nice, dinner was good. Also, the bread factory below the hotel had great pastries and coffee. We stayed at another hotel for our last few days in Athens on Ermou street and enjoyed the atmosphere/area WAY better. It’s cleaner, better to look at, feels safer, way more to do. Good shopping and food options whichever way you go. We were able to walk from our hotel to visit historical monuments, the Olympic stadium, the Parthenon, the museum, the beautiful historical garden. Recommend staying in the Plaka/Ermou area for sure to really enjoy Athens.

Not blown away

A hotel aptly positioned immediately above a subway station on the edge of the interesting part of the city it’s a great base to explore from, whilst the hotel does have a nice pool area and the food is great. The rest is rather mediocre. Many of the pictures it features are naturally the lovely restaraunt with amazing views at night. The pool area is too small for the hundreds of guests it services. Staff are mostly friendly, polite and helpful but the ones that are good are good because they are good genuine people that want to help, the level of training in those less interested is somewhat different. As a Gold member who makes frequent stops all over the world I felt this was a slight let down for a VIP access property, especially as a VIP access it didn’t really offer anything for me over any other hotel?
