The 2 bedroom units were very small and only had one bathroom making it difficult to share with another couple. we upgraded to two - one bedroom suites that were very nice for size and king bed that was very comfortable. The furniture(ex. orange couch) in living room needs replacing as old and stained. One of the suites had an updated brown couch that was very nice and new. Outside buildings were very quaint and beautiful. Lovely stained glass windows.
The tubs in both suites leaked and floor was very wet. Takes time to get any towels and service. One of the dining room tables had a glass top that rocked terribly. We reported this but nothing was done.
The staff did not tell us we had complimentary breakfast with the upgraded suites and one couple got to the dining room at 10:05 and could not have free breakfast as over at 10:00.
The cabs that the hotel booked for us, none of the drivers spoke any English and we had to call the hotel for the return trip.
The steak was wonderful in the restaurant. We did not know that they charged for every cup of coffee.
The front desk took quite a bit of time to sort check out as we had upgraded and meals. We are glad we did it a day before leaving as it still was a problem on leaving day.
In an area that is far away from everything and not able to walk in evening outside our walls.

Keeping in mind that this room was simply a place to lay my head at night, I found it to be more than satisfactory. Touching on some of the key topics: STAFF- when I arrived (alone after 10pm), I found the desk attendant less than welcoming. He was just barely doing his job. Most other desk attendants were at least slightly more friendly. FACILITIES- I didn't have time to use the pool, but it looked nice from my window. Unfortunately, there was construction occurring immediately adjacent to the pool during the week that would certainly have made it less than appealing. CONDITION- The hotel appeared to be in over good condition and satisfactorily maintained. ROOM CLEANLINESS- The room was cleaned every day, soaps and towels were replenished without incident. ROOM COMFORT- My room was more than large enough for me, even with a king and a twin size bed I had plenty of room to skip rope without moving furniture. With the tile covered concrete floor, I felt confident that I wasn't disturbing any neighbors. My room had an air conditioner that was mounted to the wall so I could adequately control the temperature, unfortunately the condensation from the unit caused a dripping sound as it dripped on to the unused twin bed. LOCATION- The location was satisfactory for my purposes, however some might prefer to be closer to some type of entertainment. DISTURBANCES- As I usually left early in the morning and didn't return before 8pm, I seldom even saw the housekeeping staff.

They are renovation so kind of hard to review. Bed was comfortable & clean. Pool was cold Jacuzzi hot. Nice to be in. Wasn't particularly happy in our room -- it was on the parking lot side so noisy all night. That is probably the only reason we didn't give them all 5's. Oh, food was ok but nothing to rave over.

The hotel staff were great. The room/beds are not the most comfortable but food and drinks make you forget about the room. Steps away from the beach and downtown Jaco I love the convenience to the quiet and the busy. It would e great if they had another pool or jacuzzi. Tip: pay in full in advance!

Great location with lots of restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast with tasty selections of fresh fruits and cooked to order eggs were amazing. The only thing that needs improvement is the WiFi. Only dependable place was near the lobby or at the restaurant.

We have stayed at the Parador about 5 times in the past several years. We have been at other hotels in the Manuel Antonio area but always seem to gravitate back to Hotel Parador. Hotel is clean, comfortable, amazing views, and animals everywhere. Sloths, monkeys, macaws, tucans, iguanas and so much more! We love the whole experience. This last time however, the service in the restaurant was surprisingly disappointing. There were many waiters however they were more concerned with turning over the tables than taking care of those of us sitting at the tables. Hoping it was just a bad week...would not want this to be the trend. We are already planning next year.
