The bilingual staff were extremely nice. The lovely scent of the lavender growing on the property perfumed the air. The view from our room of the St. Lawrence River was lovely, but the furnishings in the room were quite worn. The inn was quite isolated and not near any other restaurants or entertainment, and the road into town was not well lit. The dinner we had at the restaurant on the premises was gourmet quality, but there is no option if you feel like an inexpensive lighter meal.

We had a nice stay at this hotel. I forgot to inform the hotel we had a pet dog and the manager was very accommodating. The room was very clean. But it was a bit cramped for a family of 4 (double bed with a pull out couch) but we weren't complaining. The manager (sorry I can't remember his name) is A+. Will definitely stay again on our way through.

Some B&B's are sort of like hotels. Some are more like a room in someone's home. This is the latter, if the someone is an old friend. Actually, I had never met the hosts Denis and Catherine before my short stay, but they made me feel like an old friend. Every morning we had long chats over an excellent breakfast -- home made yogurt, freshly baked croissants and muffins, fruit, coffee, Quebec cheese, jams, and jellies. This sort of surprised me because I am normally more the kind who likes anonymity in places I stay.
My room was off the kitchen, but don't let that put you off. There was ample privacy. The bedroom was homey, with a private bathroom with shower, thick towels, and toiletries.
I would heartily recommend this B&B. Just build in time in your morning schedule to savour the breakfast and talk with the hosts.

Stayed one night in cottage 2. Comfy and had everything for an extended stay....for sure there were little things that needed fixing but nothing that ruined our stay. Staff were super friendly and helpful. We would certainly stay here again.
