If you are looking for a grand 5 star hotel this is not it. This is a small friendly hotel with courteous staff and modern rooms and common areas. It has been built over old city walls in a most imaginative way and you should not overlook walking around the basement level (floor -1) which only takes 5 mins.
It is on the edge of the touristy/old town so within easy and pleasant walking distance are dozens of restaurants, bars cafes (plus main shopping street) together with museums (including picasso) and the cathedral. A little further is a park adjoining the main promenade along the harbour and beyond this a further development of modern harbourside restaurants and a reasonable beach - probably 20 mins walk.
We upgraded to a 40m room - which had a large luxury bathroom with excellent walk in shower. Strangely the bedside cupboards had no drawers/did not open.
We made a conscious decision not to have breakfast as we could see there were many varied places close by - some really local/quirky ones if you look around. We prefer to eat out in the evening particularly when the choice is so good and varied - but reports we read on the hotel restaurant and breakfast all good

We loved this hotel. The location was perfect. A very quiet street within a minute's walk if the Cathedral, the Real Alcazar, the old Jewish quarter... Breakfast was great, a fresh buffet that suited all of our family,(including picky teenage children). There were complementary hot and cold drinks which was very welcome after a few hours wandering. I would definitely look out for this chain of hotels. Very good value. Excellent reception staff.

Great staff - very friendly and spoke great English. Arranged a guided tour of Real Alcazar which was enjoyable. Gave othr good tips on where to go. Breakfast was fine - yogurt was poor though but minor point. Nice terrace on the same floor as breakfast (4th floor).
Great location - close to tourist area with many great shops and restaurants. Room was clean and wifi signal and speed was excellent.
I would be happy to stay here again if I revisit the great city.

The location of the hotel is very good for those visiting Alhambra. It is the closest proximity to the palace. It is further away from the city center, Albacin and Sacromonte but the cab ride there is 10 min and about 5-10 Euros.
The hotel itself is dated and undergoing renovation. The airconditioner was not working well in our room and the entire floor. On the bright side, the staff was very friendly and the rooms clean. Once the renovations are completed this hotel Would deserve a 5 star rating.
