"Scottish Hospitality at it Finest!"
We had a wonderful stay at this lovely hotel on Blythswood Square in the Center of Glasgow. The service and friendliest of the entire staff, from the doorman, to the reception, to the concierge, to the waitstaff were exceptional. The hotel is beautifully done, and was formerly the location of the Scottish Automobile Association. The lobby, main dining and Salon were lovely and the food and service excellent. My favorite spot was the bar called the Salon up the stairs from the lobby. Nice place to have either a whisky or tea, which is served in the afternoon. Cheers to Connor and Stephen who were delightful. Our deluxe room was spacious, clean and well appointed with a large marble bathroom. Beds and linens were top notch, and any requests were attended to quickly. We had dinner downstairs and the food was delicious, and the staff very friendly in spite our showing right before closing. We had the sweetest waitress, a student from Slovenia. There is a nice Spa at this hotel and should not be missed, particularly after a long flight. We highly recommend, in fact we would go to Glasgow just to stay there again! Cheers!

"Hotel with character in a magnificent location"
Let down by uncomfortably warm bedroom (even with all windows open) due to thermostatic radiator valves not closing fully. Complaints to staff failed to resolve, with no explanation provided. Nice spa facilities but sauna was at an almost unbearable 96C and pool area also excessively warm thus could not cool down:-(

Cheap, clean and comfortable. It is attached to a hospital but the restaurants and pool were amazing. Full gym. Ten min walk to train. Very easy to use and 15 min ride to city centre. Very much enjoyed my stay.

"Nice modern hotel close to city "
Had a 1 night stay on Friday and was so impressed. The staff are so nice very polite and professional. The rooms are lovely, very spacious and spotless. Nice big comfy bed and temperature control which was a good idea as it was very warm. Had a bite to eat in the bar on Friday which was lovely. If you bought a drink you could get a burger for £1 and a extra £1 to add fries. Breakfast the next morning was lovely, buffet style and everything was piping hot. We paid £5 to use the pool, sauna etc which again was spotless and really relaxed. Check out was 11am however we paid £15 to check out at 1pm which was worth it after relaxing in the pool area. Would recommend this highly for couples, families or groups

Point A Hotel Glasgow

"It's certainly different"
This is the first time I've stayed in a Point A Hotel and I'd definitely do it again. I can only describe it as like staying in a hotel room designed for an aeroplane - I don't mean that as an insult. My room was compact, functional, clean and designed to be used as a base. There's moulded plastic everywhere you turn, dressed in signage that explains in simple terms what something is for and how to use it. For the mood lighting - a nice extra - this is useful. But the strapline on the handwash - 'Handwash - to wash hands' - is probably unnecessary. There's flip down tray tables built into the walls - again, like an aeroplane - and air conditioning that actually works. A rarity in a British hotel. The bathroom facilities were adequate; the limitations of space mean that the shower is impractical for taller people, I'm 5'10 and struggled to wash myself easily. More irritatingly the water didn't drain quickly enough so showering was a stop/start process. The small sink made washing my face difficult to not get water everywhere, but these are minor niggles given the hotel's location and general design. Entertainment-wise there was a massive TV with iplayer and the like available. The absence of tea-making facilities in the room isn't so bad given the plethora of nearby supermarkets. There's also speedy free wifi should you need it. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would I stay there again? Yes.

Dalmuir is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Dalmuir, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Dalmuir hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
