"Attractive, characterful and superbly located"
This hotel offers excellent service and clean comfortable accommodation. Like many other buildings in Verona it boasts Roman foundations which can be viewed through several toughened glass windows in the ground floor. Also round the corner from the main shopping street. We took a "Tryverona" trip to Lake Garda which we strongly recommend (details not available from the hotel as they were promoting a more expensive product) Contact www.tryverona.com or drop in to their office at Via Pollone 16.

"Honeymoon trip that included 2 nights in Verona"
Greeted upon arrival by the very friendly owner, Luigi, who quickly went through the basics with us and showed us our room which was very cozy. Basic amenities including soap and shampoo were also provided which was nice considering that this was not a hotel. The room itself included a balcony that gave us a beautiful view of the very european street we were on. Our room was within walking distance of all the main Verona squares including Piazza Erbe and this allowed us to explore all of the sites. Coming to Verona in January is wonderful and can be very romantic. Having said that, it is very cold during this period and many of the theatre plays/shows are not on. This is a word of caution for the traveller hoping to attend the amphitheatre for a show during this period - they only run in the summer! The amphitheatre is glorious, however Lots of nice places to eat - including a restaurant with a name sounding like Olive in the main square. Don't forget to visit Julliet's balcony!

"lovely hotel right on the lake"
This is the second time we have stayed at Hotel Sirmione and it was every bit as lovely as we remembered. This time in May was by far the best time to stay.Everything was vibrant and colourful there were roses, jasmine and orange blossom blooming and the air was constantly filled with birdsong. The weather was pleasantly warm and sunny and ideal for walking and exploring. It was much more peaceful and relaxing than our previous trip in September and it was generally less busy so there were no long queues for the boats and it was easy to get into restaurants.

"Nice hotel right next to the thermal spa"
Driving to the hotel is quite an experience in itself as you are actually driving right through very small roads that almost seem to be only for pedestrians! Parking is not right at the hotel however and you still need to walk a little while but at least you can drop your luggage right at the hotel. Old town Sirmione is absolutely gorgeous and I would recommend going to the ruins and the thermal spa.

"Outstanding front desk staff"
Sirmione is essentially a peninsula in Lago di Garda. This property is nicely removed from the crush of people in the Centro of Sirmione. It faces the lake and has a well maintained pool and thermal bath. The front desk staff went above and beyond for us on a couple of occasions and worked hard to make our visit exceptional. We will return to enjoy the Italian hospitality.

"Lovely hotel, nice location for travelling around"
Lovely hotel with great facilities, very clean and lovely staff. Good if you have a car and are keen to travel around a bit rather than just staying in one place. Not that close to the lake but in easy walking distance. Nice to have bikes to hire and also good pool (though a bit cold). Would definitely recommend it for a stay.

Colombare is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Colombare, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Colombare hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
