Fabulous hotel

Had a fabulous stay at this hotel. Would thoroughly recommend it. Clean, comfortable, great breakfasts and lovely pool and pool area. Great location about 30 mins walk from old town but there is a shuttle bus that stops outside the Hotel and you can be in the old Town in ten minutes. Lots of good restaurants close to hotel too. Hotel bar serves good selection of food until 6 pm.

We throughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Porto Azzuro. All the staff were so incredibly friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. Special shout out to Andrea behind the bar who served a delicious range of complimentary snacks alongside the poolside cocktails. We had the 2 bedroom family room which had two balconies, perfect for getting the kids off to sleep and still being able to sit out on the balcony and enjoy a glass of wine. We did find the bed rather on the hard side but the staff arranged for a mattress topper to be fitted which made it very comfortable. The breakfast and lunch menu had a good selection and the staff were attentive. All in all a very pleasant stay.

This hotel is at the beginning of the peninsula, so you have to walk pretty far to get to the castle and old town. There is a bus that makes a loop and stops every 20 minutes, but while we were standing at the bus stop, the bus just passed us by two times! So we stood in the heat for 50 minutes when we could have already have been there if we walked, which we finally did. We asked the lady at the front desk why the bus didn’t stop two times, but she didn’t know. Breakfast was good. One of the girls, Sophia, is an exceptionally hard worker. She kept the breakfast area clean and everything well stocked. She was also friendly and professional.
