The place and staff were exceptional. The only problem I had with it all was it was an extremely cold, cloudy day. After arriving about 2 PM, on a freezing day, and after seeing my jetted tub in the window nook, all I wanted was the promised 24 hour available hot water that was promised. Unfortunately, there was not only NOT a showers worth of hot water, but also not even a moments worth of hot water. The margins were warmer than freezing, and just colder than tepid. I realize that their system uses solar heaters, but you can’t have it both ways. You cannot both say that the water will not always be available, due to the system, but also that it is available 24 hours a day. It simply was not true. Nobody washed yesterday, and we all pretty much layered clothes on and hid under the welcoming heavy blankets until the propane heaters were turned on sometime after dinner. At that point until they were turned off, the room was quite comfortable. I will admit that had I gone on a sunny and clear day, the situation would have been markedly different. All in all, even in SPITE of a lack of hot water, I feel that this is an amazing location, and that the people who work there are exceptional. I would happily return here at a future date, if I knew it was not going to be freezing out. The view, and the feeling there was exceptional, and I still absolutely encourage anybody who wants to get away to enjoy a night or two. Just being gloves and one of the alpaca hats if cold.

It was a little noisy, had to change my room. Also the front desk was not so friendly.

We had originally booked for one night but the place was so stunning that we stayed for two. It truly is beautiful and you can watch the sunset over the lake. The staff were also very good at accomodating our children for lunch and dinner as the can be fussy! Included is also a tour of the Islands and our guide answered so many of our questions. The only reason why I have not given 5 stars is because there was no hot water in our room. It would also have been nice at dinner to have been offered some drinks. We brought our own water from the room in the end

Very nice hotel in the 1970’s style. The hotel is 55 years old, well maintained and it seems with most of the original decor. Very nice location over the lake Titicaca Ana about 15min táxi ride from Puno city centre. The hotel travel agency is fantastic in organizibg transfers and tours in Lake Titicaca. Grecy and Mr. Omer (the driver/guide) are extremely efficient and pilote. Always glad to assist. We recommend this hotel in Puno

What can I say apart from a top notch hotel and staff! We had to book at the last minute this hotel at 5;30am and were at the hotel by 6am. The staff was wonderful. We arrived in Puno buy a night bus and we were allowed early check-in free of charge. Delmy and Raul at the reception were exceptional during our stay. Raul helped us a lot in explaining the various daily tours that the hotel had on offer and he helped us in organising those tours. Delmy at the reception was always helpful and helped us in organising a later than usual checkout with was again much appreciated. The food at the restaurant and the breakfast were excellent. One of the best breakfasts during our 5 weeks trip in Peru. And the garden and views were beautiful and a great place to relax at the end of the day. There are not many choices of good hotels in Puno but this one is in the top of the list. Sure it is a bit more expensive that other hotels in Puno or on the lake Titicaca but it is worth the price. Will definately stay at this hotel if we ever go back to Puno.
