"Beautiful hotel surrounded by the flowing waters"
Lovely hotel with v friendly staff. It is far enough from square to be quiet yet close enough for a short walk to anything you might want. The sound of the water flowing almost under my window gave me the best sleep I have had at a hotel.

"Better than most places in the area. Felt secure."
I enjoyed the stay. However the WiFi and lobby computer were extremely slow and didn't work 50% of the time. I really like the decoration and the room.

"great place to stay"
We stayed two (non-consecutive) nights in this is a unique Peruvian hotel, but went to Machu Picchu for one night in between. I highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in Ollantaytambo. It is not a Marriot or Hilton style hotel, but a smaller hotel with about 20 rooms. Our room had a (creaky) wooden floor and was quite basic in furnishing, but was clean with a good supply of towels. There is a security safe in the room and a fast, complimentary wifi. The strength of this hotel is the location, the staff, the service, and the restaurant. It is in a train station and you literally walk from the platform into the hotel lobby. This was a great bonus after a long day at Machu Picchu – off the train and into the lobby, get our key and within two minutes we were in our room. We were not disturbed at all by the noise of trains. The staff did all they could to assist guests. The receptionist, Javier was awesome. He spoke excellent English and provided us with sound advice to our many questions. Julia, one of the managers also introduced herself to ensure our stay was going well. There was a good choice of breakfast items in the complimentary breakfast including scrambled eggs, juice, fruit, coffee and tea, with excellent waiter/waitress service. The web site explains how they source their food from their local farm. We also had dinner there both evenings and they had a varied menu with all items at reasonable prices - great lasagna.

"Not a bad location as a jump off to other areas."
Staff was very good, as was the location. Staff prepared breakfast daily and even packed a day snack for my adventure to Machu Picchu. Ruins right out the door and another a short walk away. Also walking distance to the train. My only issue was that there were many ants in the bathroom daily. You won't find absolute quiet here. There is a small water channel/canal running just outside, which some may find soothing. As with many hotels, this one has no sound proofing. I'm a light sleeper and always carry and use earplug, so not an issue for me, but voices and sounds carry throughout the hotel.

"Fantastic hotel and lovely staff. "
I read positive reviews of this hotel on Tripadvisor and was really pleased that we booked this place. The location is up a quiet road opposite the river. The rooms are fantastic. Clean, spacious, comfortable beds (no HARD mattresses) and actual soft duvets!!! It was like a miracle in Peru. The shower was consistently hot and good water pressure. There was a hairdryer, soap and shampoo provided. There was a wonderful Romanian girl on staff who was really kind and helpful to us and nothing was a problem for her. She even went back to a restaurant where I had left some gloves to see if they had them for me. Good continental brekky included and parking space if you have a car.

"sweet and responsive host, close the to plaza"
we just crashed for one night on our way back to cusco after MP, and I'd say it's got ollanta personality and is convenient for just that. not sure if I'd do longer than 1, tops 2 nights for just a place to sleep. it was close to the main plaza, and the host was responsive to all correspondence and questions. think of this space more like a homestay with several rooms. The family lives on the first floor, and the guest rooms are on the second. very squeaky and rustic stairs and floors as well as accommodations. we originally booked a double bed room with a shared bathroom (since we literally were just sleeping overnight to leave at dawn), and our host upgraded us to a room w a double bed + single bed and private (newly renovated and very modern) bathroom. the room was cute and pleasant, but could use a good clean. We were grateful to have a warm place to sleep. It's definitely not for light sleepers- you can hear everything from everywhere- downstairs, outside, neighbors, neighborhood, etc. I'm sure the same is for them since we slept right upstairs from the family. no wifi. you can pay for a breakfast but we left before then.

"Comfortable and Modern in Ancient City"
This was a jewel in our trip through the Sacred Valley. Ollantaytambo is a wonderful stop in the valley and Munay Punku allows you to embrace this Inca village. We could see the ruins in the distance from our room and the short stroll down the narrow lanes between the stone buildings, to the town square was a treat that I repeated many times just for the wonder that it provided. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Prior to our arrival, they arranged a taxi to transport us from Cusco and stop at sites along the way. The room was modern and comfortable and quite charming. Its at the top of my list for any return trip.

Ollantaytambo is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Ollantaytambo, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Ollantaytambo hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
