"An amazing hotel with great service! "
This place was magical! Within walking distance to the train station. It's a super small town and there are no cars. The hotel can arrange for someone to meet you at the train station and assist with carrying luggage. There are a lot of shops and great restaurants so get lost and have fun! Note that some of the outdoor restaurants charge a 'service fee'. One of the restaurants we stumbled upon had horrible service and they slipped us that service fee so just ask. TIPS...the buses to Machu Picchu are comfortable but the road is zig zagged and takes about 30 minutes. The buses drop you off at the entrance so there is no scaling or walking zillions of miles to get in. There are no restrooms once you are inside. And the place is monitored too so don't try to sneak a pee because there are cameras. You will see tour guides at the entrance. Totally worth it, we paid $130 soles and then tipped our guide. Total tour time was about 2.5 hours. Weather can vary so take a lightweight jacket. Also dress as if you were going to be eaten alive by mosquitos. Long sleeves, long pants, socks, OFF spray and SPF. There is a restaurant just outside the entrance as well as bathrooms. There is a 1 Sol charge for the bathroom so take change. Also don't forget to stamp your passport too!! Bon Voyage my friends!!

"Nice Stay"
The rooms were minimal in the ammenites. The hotel staff was very helpful in the storage of luggage as their checkout time is very early. For those going to Machu Picchu for the day, the staff will store your luggage until you need to depart on your train back to Cusco. The breakfast is good. Be aware that the hotel is across the river and near the top of the hill from the train station. The name of the hotel is Hatun Inti Classic. You can search the map programs and find it by this name. The breakfast was good and starts at 4:30a.

"Comfortable stay"
This hotel felt quite homey with its design. Restaurant and hotel lobby were kind of conjoined, I kind of like the layout. Room was comfortable, as was the bathroom. It was spacious which was nice. Breakfast was okay.

"Nice breakfast and location, but dark and damp"
The hotel is conveniently located, very pretty, and offers a delicious breakfast. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I have two anecdotal complaints: 1) Our window was next to the door to our room, and although we locked it every time we left, housekeeping would open it again, making it very easy to just reach in and unlock the door, which we did instead of bothering to take out our keys. Very unsafe. 2) The housekeeping staff left a pile of sopping wet towels and a dirty bathmat stacked on top of the clean clothes in my suitcase! GROSS.

Machu Picchu is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Machu Picchu, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Machu Picchu hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
