This hotel was located on the marina next to the boats and plenty of restaurants. Also if you are into snorkeling Big Beards was awesome, that's also walking distance from the hotel. Downside is you have to take a short ferry across the marina to get to the beach but it wasn't a big deal for us. We did try snorkeling on Buck island and my husband loved it. The area of the hotel is very quiet and has a nice restaurant and bar on the property. All of the staff was excellent! No complaints from my Husband or I what so ever! The greeting was nice, the bartender was nice, even the cleaning staff was great and accommodating. We are low maintenance and just wanted a clean private room with a decent view and we were very pleased. :)

this is a older facility but in good shape it is a beautiful location and has excellant snorkeling. it has a good restaurant and good food. it has some problems that should be fixed. the curtains were to small for the window and were literally falling apart on the window. the bed spread and sheets were stained and should have been replaced long ago. the floor was dirty and I swept and mopped the floor myself while the cleaning crew were standing around talking. remember you are on island time while you are here, that means no one is in a hurry to do anything. staff was very friendly. this could be a 4.5 facility.

The location of this hotel is ideal for taking advantage of what Christiansted has to offer. We had a room on the third floor, waterfront. We were able to watch the seaplanes come and go and all the other activities in the harbor. The room was pleasant and the staff accommodating. They are in the process of replacing the elevator with a new one and that did cause some construction noise during the daytime hours.

We rented a car for our week at Buccaneer so we got to do a lot of traveling around the island and I do believe we had the best resort on the island. The resort had planned activities and/or tours every day; some with a fee. The complimentary breakfast was a sumptuous buffet! But the best highlights for us were their two beautiful beaches l . At the beaches they provided kayaking, snorkling, water floats, and an abundance of beach chairs to relax in; either in the sun or under the shade of lovely palm trees. Refreshments were close by at either beach as well. The resort has their own dock so when we signed up for a Buck Island snorkeling tour, the tour boat came to the resort to pick us up; we didnt have to go to the pier in town to start the adventure and that was so convenient! We really enjoyed our time at Buccaneer.

I would definitely recommend this hotel, my family and I stayed here for 4 nights just last week -- it's in a great location and it's right next to the water, some great restaurants on the boardwalk and a beach that's less than 2 minutes away which you can take a small boat to and from for very cheap.
It was clean & perfect to just sleep and go, the staff at first was a little cold we asked for extra towels and a blanket and they didn't bring us any until the third day after they cleaned the room.

Staff was great. It's on the beach. Beach chairs and umbrellas available, as well as chair covers, towels, and bar service. Most rooms have full kitchens, w dishes, blender, coffee maker, and small coolers! Restaurant on premise w excellent food. Restaurant is closed two days during the week. Full fridge works for those days. Hotel is small, and quaint. Owners visible and approachable. They genuinely want you to enjoy their little slice of paradise! Recommend snorkel cruise to Buck Island, Cruzan Rum tours, point Udall, Bombay Club, Polly's at the Pier, and restaurant at Sandcastle is excellent! Do Sunday brunch!

Visit was nice, arranged transportation was always on time. Breakfast was always good. Lunch buffet was good, with alternative menu option. Dinner for us was on time when we ate indoors(6 pm), was late generally when we at dinner outside, also very windy at times, so food cooked quickly. Staff was always professional and eager to assist, staff made us feel at home. Rooms were clean, and cleaning staff did a good job. Bathrooms needs ventilation, stayed hot, no way to get fresh air into bath. Good visit wecwill return.

Historic buildings with red-tile roofs line the cobblestone streets in this waterfront town. The main shopping areas are found on King and Company streets near the boardwalk. Fort Christiansvaern overlooks the harbor below and is part of a seven-acre historic site that offers a glimpse of the island’s Danish past. A one-mile ferry ride takes visitors to Buck Island, a popular spot for snorkeling.
