Great location on Playa Norte. Traditional Mexican decor, older property. No wifi except near pool or lobby. Reception staff OK, not overly friendly. Did not offer beach towels, also even though they run the business of the chairs and umbrellas on the beach no discount offered for one week stay, so $450 pesos per day. Got my croc sandals that I forgot at the pool stolen. Continental breakfast OK and friendly staff

If you are looking for a clean place to crash after a day at the beach, with walkable bodegas and restaurants and street food, this place is for you. It’s very bare bones; the wifi sucks, the pool (while nestled into a beautiful, quiet, tropical garden) is warmer than a bath, and you’ll hear your neighbor. The shower pressure nearly scalped me, and all the linens are stained (most likely rust from the laundry). The staff was very nice, and they all spoke English better than my Spanish. They offer a free breakfast, which includes gas-station coffee, “juice,” and toast. But the beach is RIGHT THERE. Just walk outside and stumble right in. It checks all the boxes for a frugal, no-frill stay.

The location was great. The ‘cook to order’ breakfast did not exist, but there is amazing food all over the island. Prepare to bring your own wash cloth/ scrubbie & bring your own soap. Enjoy!

Lovely older low key hotel right on North Beach. It’s hard to be closer ; a little noisy by the beach due to tourists there on the weekends but amazing during the week days. Very much recommend

Great location

Not a 5 star. But the rooms are nice enough with cold ac. The Hotel has walking access (literally thru a few palm trees) to North beach. Which is why I assume you are visiting Isla. Cant beat the location. Up against the beach and walking distance to restaurants.

Maria's is always my 'go to' place to stay while at Isla Mujeres! The property is always clean and the staff is incredibly kind and helpful. Only 4 stars for the property conditions as some of the rooms could use some updates, but the location on beautiful North Beach makes this place hard to beat.
