Our first visit to Maldron Hotel was very favourable and I would certainly recommend it. It's a short walk to the seafront, has an NCP carpark right opposite and felt safe. Breakfast was hot and hearty and the staff friendly. Beds comfy and shower was good. Slight negative was the fact that our room on floor 7 couldnt be accessed completely by the lift - we had to get out on floor 6 and then climb the stairs to the next floor. This may be an issue for less mobile guests as no help was offered with suitcases. It wouldn’t put me off staying there again, but I wasn’t aware beforehand and would probably request a different floor next time.

Worth trying

First done in this hotel. Big, 240 bedrooms, very clean, comfortable bed. We had a double single with sea view. Good price but why give the single bed the sea view??? Also heating on some sort of eco setting so went off every 2hrs, not great, so room a bit cold. God location.

Massively Disappointing

Lovely friendly staff at reception, behind the bar and cleaning staff whilst on route to the room however the stay was average at best: The rooms are too packed in and small with no room to even pass your partner ‘anywhere’ in the room Weirdly the rooms had really heavy doors and were not easy to open, elderly customers would have issue entering or leaving The main gripe was its cleanliness or lack of it, during the night I was awoken several times by something crawling on me and my wife called me to identify something…a tick was found crawling across the bathroom floor Poor hotel staff communication - Reported to reception staff with a request, whilst out during the day, to have the room thoroughly swept and cleaned; a change of glasses, which was where the tick was trapped under but nothing more was heard about it until our return to the dirty room, unswept, with glasses and cups remaining dirty Reception staff again spoken to and nothing was mentioned until the Ops manager came to the room with badly managed excuses as to why we weren’t informed of a room change, or move of our property could have been managed whilst we were out and/or a phone call to my mobile, already provided at initial reception. Nothing more mentioned, or request of ‘how was your stay’ which was heard mentioned to other customers before and after us or even a simple sorry on departure Have stayed in better and cheaper travel lodges and remain a regular customer with them. Disappointed, not close…

Great location with exceptional service

Meeting and accommodation. Staff are always available and treat every guest as special. Rooms are new, comfortable, exceptionally clean. Food menu is good and meeting facilities are modern and well serviced.

Brighton

Really close to the sea and also the University graduation venue - we were there to see my daughters friend graduate so location was fabulous and good value for money. Hotel ticked all the boxes. Visit The Flourpot on the seafront for breakfast and/or other snacks as our mushroom breakfast brioche roll was amazing. Everyone I encountered was really friendly. Great bars and places to eat all around. Great seafront/pier and shopping in The Lanes is a must as amazing jewellery shops and art galleries display some fabulous wares. Brighton is wonderful!
