Very Good

Manager was terrific, she not only checked us in she also served our meals as there was only 1 staff in restaurant. Fish and chips were good but other meals only passable. Obviously they need more staff but again manager was great. Room small but clean, we were in the newer annex on main floor and I was very surprised how noisy it was from the room above we heard every movement so take ear plugs. It’s good value for the price and convenient location.
We only stayed at the Richmond Park Hotel for one night as we were meeting other family members to do the Bo’ness & Kinneil steam train trip. The hotel is lovely with welcoming efficient staff. The copper kiln bar & restaurant is cosy and there is an outside area with picnic tables and chairs for summers evenings. We stayed in a superior king room & it was spacious and very comfortable, Bar & food prices are very reasonable and we had an excellent stay.
Highly recommend!
The bed were awful. No mattress pads, the twin beds caused my adult daughters back pain, the double bed was worn and uncomfortable, the comforters were lumpy, the hot water was scalding, and the pillows were hard and uncomfortable. The 'family side' is a second class motel rather than a hotel.
Our worst stay in the UK by far. Do not recommend.
Cute little hotel off the beaten path but not to far from Edinburgh. You could easily park at the Linlithgow station and take the train right into Edinburgh. Staff was friendly, breakfast was good and the room overlooking the North Sea was an added bonus. Definitely will stay here again if we are back in the Edinburgh area.

Disliked: Amenities
Last minute booking. Was put in the parkwood (room 90) and much like a previous review the room was not clean. One window opened out of 5 to air out the room, which hovered around 28 degrees Celsius with no fan. But bright blue fluorescent lighting at night made it necessary to close the blind and block out cooler night air. Felt lucky to get towels. Besides coffee next to no other amenities. TV didn't turn off after freezing watching Netflix. Had to unplug it. Disappointed for sure.
We had a family room. Easy to pull up and park right outside the room. Beds very comfortable and view wonderful. It was a short 10 min drive to the station and a 20 min. train ride to the heart of Edinburgh. Definitely would stay again....so easy! Close to some great sites with Blackness Castle and Linithgow Palace too.

Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The room was very dusty and needed to vaccum as well. It seems like they weren't cleaning between changing guests because of the way room was. Definitely wouldn't recommend anyone to stay here

Staff at check in was friendly. We booked a Classic Family room just for a night to catch our flight home next morning from EDI as it is just a 20 min drive by car and didn't want to pay hundreds to stay in the city. Room felt dated with visible painted over damage on wall squeaky door and lose window handle. The beds weren't comfortable and overall it was noisy. Thr bathroom had quiet a few tiles that were broken and it wasn't the cleanest around the sink. The toilet seat was fairly lose. Was ok for a night but would not stay there again in the same room . Maybe other rooms are better? Cant comment on food as we opted not to have breakfast and found the pub's prices to expensive for us
Decided to get pizza from Barracuda which was really tasty.

Just ok
This stay was used to be close to EDI airport for an AM departure. Hotel reminds me of an old Holiday Inn. Room had carpet which feels gross. One of the beds had blown out springs but luckily it was used for my 9 year old. The upside is the pub had awesome food. Great for a short stay for a night
