Completely self service so staff is n/a. Room was clean except for dust on upper shelf. Towels were small and thin and mine had a large hole in it. Bed is a firm camping style mattress. Electric kettle provided but I had to keep it on the floor because the cord was too short to reach the outlet. The instant coffee and tea is very nice. In theory there’s internet but even when my phone showed a strong WiFi connection, I had no luck actually getting it to work and relied on cellular. Provided soap and shampoo were very thin as if stretched with water, but the shower holds temperature well. Private bathroom is nice even if there’s no towel rack. Great location near a strip of shops and restaurants and train/bus station. My room code and the code to open the front door were the same which was a little sketchy. The police asked me to let them into the building one of the nights to respond to a different room. The building is very loud. My room was right at the top of the entrance and I could hear every coming and going. I could also hear the person in the room above mine snoring.

We had a wonderful stay. From check in to drinks in the bar, the staff were brilliant. There is a calming atmosphere the moment you enter the lobby. We went to our room and it was spotless with a large comfy bed. The en-suite was also quite big with a fantastic shower. Good pressure and double showers. Overhead rainfall type and the standard hose shower. Nice shower and hair toiletries. The bar is relaxed with a great variety of beers and spirits at very reasonable prices for a city centre hotel. We had breakfast the next morning and again the staff were great. If I had one “comment “ it would be that there was too much porridge. It was lovely but I couldn’t finish it and hate the waste. A smaller bowl would be sufficient. All in all, it was great and not a bad price. Totally recommend a stay in the Bedford. 👌

Loved the nice room but walls are paper thin and if you are a light sleeper it would be terrible. Extremely clean and we enjoyed our stay. Laundry was difficult to access because we had to call where it is self check in . Should have had instructions in the room …

Perfect location beside the wonderful St George's Market and 10mins walk to the centre. Nice peaceful location. Hotel is stunning, rooms huge with nice toiletries, decent coffee, we ordered room service which was good value and quality food. Very impressed. Highly recommend 👌

If a speakeasy could be a hotel, this is it! I’d tell you details from my 3-night stay, but you have to navigate it for yourself. Such a cool place, a great bar, helpful staff and a great location!!!
