Beautiful historic site lovely gardens and walkable location. They offer no cleaning or maid services apparently and we asked for fresh towels and never received them. Maintenance also woke us up way early thinking our ac was out. Seems they are struggling a bit.

Very average. It should be more clear that the booking options are not in the same location. We were given a room in the Maryland Inn, a quarter mile walk from the main building. There is no front desk at the Maryland Inn. Our room was humid and hot with a window unit AC blasting 24/7. Everything felt damp, mold in shower. Overall we were disappointed for the price we paid.

We stayed in the Maryland Inn. The location could not have been better. The AC in the room was very cold which was needed in the 90 degree weather. Bed was comfy. I fully understand its a historic inn which is what makes it unique, but it also means very small rooms and even smaller bathrooms. So be aware. We got a king room and the bathroom was so small and so was the shower. We made it work but I think if you were a bigger person it would be hard to maneuver in there. Checking in at one inn and hauling your suitcases to another was kind of annoying too but it wasnt that far. Valets were great guys.

The property was beautiful and very clean. Staff wasn't the most welcoming or helpful when we asked for early check in at 11am. I also had messaged days before on the app to see if we could get early check in with no response. It was also not clear that booking with this hotel meant you could be staying at one of three historic locations. When we found parking in the busy city and then dropped all of our bags off early to explore, no one told us we would be at a building many blocks away. We came an sat in reception 20 min before official check in. We had been sitting there, directly in front of the front desk employee, and still had to ask if our room was ready at 4pm. When she said yes, it seemed as if it had been ready but didn't inform us while we were clearly waiting since 11am and sitting right there. When our room was ready, we had to drag our luggage many blocks away to a different building in the 90 degree heat. Seems that there might be an opportunity for better communication about this multi location fact or have a service to cart luggage to other buildings for guests.

We loved the area as well as the hotel. It's a 4 minute walk from the waterfront and has a great view of the state capital building. My only complaint would be that the A/C for my room stop functioning on my fourth night. We were moved to another room and the A/C in that room also didn't work. They don't have 24/7 maintenance on staff. They did move us to another room in a different building and that room was great. The staff was extremely helpful and they even gave us another bottle of wine and a plate of strawberries. I would definitely recommend because we love the area so much.

This was only my second time staying in an historic residence and I loved it! The valet parking made it especially pleasant, taking away the hastle of parking. The only sad thing is that, looking through the window, the view is covered by wires, thousands of them. It's depressing they can't be hidden underground.

Overall review

The hotel location is perfect for a weekend in historic Annapolis . The restaurant no longer operates and the bar is ok but not great . The room was nice considering its historic age so adjust your expectations
