Alwington Vacation Packages

As I am in a wheelchair I often find that accessible rooms are not as easy to use as they should be but the room we had last week could not have been better, we will be back

We had an enjoyable stay overall, despite a few minor inconveniences. The hotel benefits from a great location, and the availability of on-site parking was particularly convenient. We felt that a few improvements could really help elevate the experience. While the hotel is generally well maintained, some areas feel a little tired, neglected and lacking in purpose. The leisure area, particularly the space next to the now-closed swimming pool, is one example. We stayed in a family room, which was spacious, well furnished and very comfortable. The sea view and private outdoor terrace were lovely additions, and we all slept very well. The bathroom was also good. Although the room was clean overall, it would benefit from a more thorough deep clean. We noticed small patches of black mould in one corner of the room and above the French doors, dusty skirting boards and a hole in one of the bed pillows. Unfortunately, the service at both dinner (only one person behind the bar on a busy night taking food orders and serving drinks) and breakfast was very slow (there seemed to be enough staff but lack of organisation meant everything was taking a very long time). We made alternative arrangements for dinner on our second evening. This was particularly disappointing, as it detracted from what was otherwise an enjoyable stay.

Excellent place to stay

The cleaning staff set and maintain extremely high standards as do reception staff. I have increased the length of my stay at The Manor Hotel several times because of the cleanliness especially. It's location is ideal and my room has spectacular views.
