close to golf course, buffet options were amazing. family suite with two bathrooms great. fit 5 ppl no problem. tennis pro, Daniel, was great. snorkeling was suprisingly good. volleyball net was packed. could use another one. dinner reservations were always full but heard restaurants had empty tables. guess people abused that. buffet had so many options we didnt mind too much. we stayed 4 nights with 3 teens. the kid bed may not fit our youngest next year though so may have bring an air matress. they didnt seem to have another option. 4 person fishing excursion 2 hrs in rough conditions landed us a barracuda and small mahi mahi. guys doing that were nice.

We liked being able to snorkel everyday. The turtle excursion was a lot of fun and the staff was friendly and helpful. The grounds are beautiful. Bring a lot of 1’s and 5’s so you can tip people throughout the day. The food was good, for some of you the buffets are fantastic, for us, it is just a perfect way to get sick. I would like another option for breakfast and lunch. I would have loved a place to get a cup of coffee or ice tea. We prefer more intimate dinners without a buffet. Hand sanitizer should be available throughout the buffets to keep things more sanitary and clean. Our room was very hot and we were not able to cool it down at night. The air conditioner fan seemed to turn off at night making sleeping nearly impossible. The beds and pillows are very hard. The beds only have sheet material on them because you do not need anything else. Our cleaner was so sweet and cleaned the room daily. She did a great job, but shortly after she left, the room smelled damp and musty. The ocean access at Grand Tulum is not very good. You need to walk quite a ways to get down to a good beach and then it is packed with people. Overall, if you like pools, a lot of people, love buffets, and are there with your kids, I think you will love it. My husband and I want long walks along beach, quiet time watching the ocean and reading, quiet meals with very high quality food (no buffets), and cool, comfortable rooms. Just not the vacation for us.

Gorgeous spot. Buffet got old real fast, wish it had been more authentic mexican foods rather than americanized versions. I wrote ahead of time and was told we could get a room near the buffet/main lobby because my husband is handicapped but we were put into the furthest building away so that made for a real challenge. Oceanfront wasnt great for swimming/snorkeling, Nonetheless the majority of the resort was lovely.

Room Was okay but no privacy as there was no bathroom but rather a bathroom area. Not the cleanest. Food was just okay though we really loved the Tequila restaurant. You get 3 dining reservations but it was hard to get them and we only had two. Beach is not very nice - lots of kelp and not the cleanest looking. Drinks were okay but lots of fake/sugary mixers. This is not a 5star hotel as they claim.

Myself and my adult son were both hurt on this resort! Actually there where many people where also hurt! Tripping hazards everywhere. Keep your eyes on the ground at all times. I took my eyes off my feet once to experience the worse fall I’ve ever taken. After three accident reports made as I fell on day two of my vacation. I asked why a resort this size has no doctor on site . There was a huge language barrier as I didn’t find ou until the last day of an eight day vacation that there is a doctor there everyday! Could have saved me alit of agony !

This property is HUGE. It’s a very long way from one end of the property to the other. This also made it a trek to get lunch, and there weren’t a lot of options. There are A La carte restaurants but since the app/website didn’t work properly, I couldn’t reserve in advance so I had a lot of trouble getting reservations. We only got 2 out of the 4 we were allowed, and while the buffet was ok, it got old after 10 days. The quiet pool and beach were amazing. It’s a real shame that the restaurant that is RIGHT THERE, is NOT open at lunch. This meant quite a walk at lunchtime.

Didn't like limit on ala carte dinner reservations and also that they didnt have staff to wait on you while at the pool or the beach. Booked a 2 bedroom room but got a one bedroom with a sofa bed which they consider a two bedroom

We had a good time but we had a hard time getting an issue resolved the entire trip. Our wristbands did not open the door. There was an issue with the door pad and it was never fixed. Many requests were made. We were locked out several times. It put a damper on our trip. Other than that the events were fun and the spa amenities were good.

The property itself is nice and clean The pool areas are very lively; the beach was excellent (There were complaints about seaweed. May be we got lucky - it was clean); Buffet had a variety of selections. Personally, We preferred the buffet than the A la cartes as the quality of the food wasn’t that great in all 3 A la cartes that we visited (Again, that could be us). Some staffs were really nice while the others were not friendly at all even if you tip them enough. The food truck was also nice except the day time as it gets crowded and you may need to wait longer for your order to be ready.

Awesome stay! The property is beautiful, the rooms are nice and clean, there are lots of pool and beach options, great food with lots of choices, and the staff is great!
