Superb. One of the best (if not the best) boutique hotels I’ve ever stayed in. All the space is exquisitely designed. The food is glorious but it’s the staff what makes it absolutely outstanding. Yes you can stay in so many other different small, boutique, design-forward hotels in CDMX, but know, you’ll be missing out.

My experience at Capital O Hotel CDMX was very disappointing. The property itself was in poor condition, but one of the worst parts was the mattresses. Both mattresses in my room were terrible. They had deep holes/sunken areas where your body would fall into, and once you were lying there, it was actually difficult to move away from them. I honestly couldn’t believe the condition they were in. Another major issue was the refund policy. Once you pay, even if you arrive and are unhappy with the condition of the room, getting your money back seems to be extremely difficult. Basically, you are left with the choice of staying somewhere you are uncomfortable or losing the money you already paid. The hotel was also very noisy, which made resting difficult. The surrounding area was another concern for me. In the evening, especially around 6 PM and later, I personally encountered sex workers on the streets behind the property and in the nearby streets. Because of my experience, I did not feel particularly comfortable walking around the area at night. Overall, the condition of the property, the mattresses, the noise, and my experience with the refund situation made this a very disappointing stay. I would definitely recommend checking the room carefully before paying or committing to your stay.
