Hotel room was terribly dirty, doorknob was broken, sheets were stained with mystery brown stains, the floor was wet, smelled weird, and the room was very dusty. The woman at the front desk was very kind and respectful when we told her we did not want to stay there, however. I did not get her name, but she was one of the only pluses to come out of our experience.

This hotel & event center is in a State forest & camping reserve directly on Lake Michigan. Beautiful Sandy shoreline from Wisconsin to miles south. The property & hotel was inundated during a horrific storm some yrs ago. So it is a work in progress now. The main floor is clean & wery nice with restaurant & bar overlooking the lake. Patios for outside dining. Serving hrs are limited at this time. Chef with delicious food. Staff super friendly & accomadating. Housekeeping staff could use an overseer & nudge. Rooms are ideal with plans for renovating them. This hotel has been here for 40 plus yrs. So peaceful walking trails, swimming.

It’s a great place to get away if your from Zion or not the view is amazing the beach is right in front of you the only thing that it’s missing a hot tub or a fireplace but in other words I wouldn’t book no where else

Not clean

Room we were offered had spider webs and at least 7 spiders in them. Egg sack on the ceiling. One web had about 50 dead bugs in it. Bathroom vent slats were covered in a thick layer of dust. It had obviously not been cleaned in weeks. We insisted on a new room and were given one, which was clean. Front desk staff was very helpful.
