There are many other better hotels. If you like to have a social media detox and to go diet, this hotel would be perfect. It’s not my style.

Lovely hotel but be aware of the shortcomings

We chose the hotel bc of its prime location within the park, overlooking the lake. It's a beautiful old hotel, and the room was comfortable, modern and clean. But - The hotel does not offer wifi. Mobile connectivity is hit or miss depending on your provider. TMobile does not work, Verizon/Spectrum does. - The rooms were clean, the rest of the hotel not. E.g., in the large airy room overlooking the lake, bugs littered the sills and floor. - Unlike the nearby Lodge that takes advantage of the prime location near Lake Jackson, there is no outdoor seating (eg aidirondack chairs) for guests to enjoy the spectacular views and weather. Even the nearby General Store offers a few picnic tables. - Dining choices are limited. Dinner is limited to the formal dining room (requires reservations) or the nearby lodge serving hamburgers. Thankfully they had a vegetarian patty for my boyfriend, but both burgers were overcooked to the point of dryness. For breakfast, there is a buffet or grab n go from a small deli. The deli closes at 1:30. The nearby 'general store' also offers sandwiches but they should be ashamed of themselves. My egg salad sandwich had so little egg salad that it didn't make a full sandwich. - Given the hotel keeps pointing guests at the General Store as a dining option, why not create a path through the woods. The current path is simply a non maintained dirt trail.

The location is fantastic! You are right by the serene beauty of Lake Yellowstone. It is conveniently close to the Fishing Bridge area and East entrance.

We stayed in a Cabin. The room occupies half of the cabin and shares the wall with the other half which is another room. The wall insulation is not good, and we can hear everything happened in the other room. Better to reserve a single cabin room. The room is small no wifi service.

Can't make same day reservations in the restaurant and we were place in a separate building then the main hotel as requested. Additionally, booked 3 rooms and we were unable to be together or on the same floor for the rooms. Rooms were not ready at 430 when we checked in, only one room was available.

Good Experience and stay. Desk Clerks, Bell Hops, Cleaning Staff, Deli Staff and Boutique Store Staff and Bartenders performed well. Restaurant Staff, Hostess, and Dining Room Managers were Ignorant. Waited over an hour for our food. Steak was cold and Scallops were overcooked. Very Basic Cooking techniques any Educated Chef and Sous Chef should know. I’m a Pastry Chef for over 35 years.

The staff was not helpful at all. The food was not good and very expensive with very little options. The rooms had no air conditioning. NO WIFI. The lobby furniture was old and dirty. However, live music was great.

Staff and interior was great. Exterior needed cleaning from spiders and starling bird mud nest all over. Food was marginal and expensive. Bring your own. Lake was beautiful.

Our room was not very clean (dusty furniture and crumbs on the carpet). Told the staff and they said they would send someone to clean but that never happened. There is no internet and no TV. On the positive side, the beds were comfortable. Would not stay here again.
