Stayed here a few times and also my colleagues stay here when in the area. Almost everything was great, however my only complaints are that the pillows were flat which meant it wasn’t the comfiest sleep and the coffee at breakfast wasn’t nice. Pie of the day for dinner was great once again.

Lovely hotel

Only came in contact with one member of staff at the desk, she was very polite and helpful. Room was clean, bed was comfy. Shower pressure could be better but it's still usable. In a nice location, very quiet at night.

Friendly check in - had already been sent online registration form so very smooth. Room clean and nicely furnished and bathroom obviously recently fitted. Hadn't intended to eat in the restaurant but having ventured into Workington and been unable to find anything inviting, we were squeezed in even though it was a busy Friday evening. Glad we did as the food was very good. Only negative of the stay was the road noise but that was the compromise for getting a lovely mountain view.

Fantastic staff, excellent breakfast, super parking, very clean modern room, free WiFi, Netflix and prime TV, good bed, in room tea & coffee with biscuits, to take good to great would be the addition of a blackout blind to the room window & a shelf / surface in the ensuite to put toiletries on.

Lovely Lakes.
