Facilities are good but Employees need work

The location is stellar, and the facilities are better than your run of the mill corporate names that pop up everywhere. The interior decor of the rooms is very regal, so the aesthetics of this property take the cake. The staff for the most part were subpar and not very helpful or willing to even try to be helpful. In fact I believe the comment made when we needed assistance with a transport shuttle was,”I mean, I’m gonna just have to do the same thing you would do by calling around, so it’s better if you handle that.” They are noted at offering a concierge service which I requested information about. The employee working that night was extremely short, unwilling to help and did not offer a solution to the problem that they had created.

The room itself was outdated, but clean. The hotel is huge: I did not partake in the breakfast. Elevator was sketchy… The neighborhood wasn’t great. As an older female traveling alone, I felt very unsafe walking to my vehicle. And its a hike from the parking to the back entrance which is where you are required to unload suitcases. I won’t stay here again.

No complaints about the room condition but my experience was overall…blah. There was no channel guide for the TV, no soap at the bathroom sink (I guess you had to get some from the liquid pump in the shower), no info on location/hours for breakfast bar, no luggage carrier. The whole place just seemed kind of sad.

I’ve stayed here twice before and it was ok. This time every plug or lamp socket was coming off the wall, the toilet seat was broken and there seemed to a lot of ‘undesirable’ people hanging around in the lobby which could have been guests and on Monday I went down to get some coffee by the front door and there were what looked like homeless people lounging on the sofa drinking what looked like alcohol out of a big bottle.

I'd stay here again!

I would stay at this hotel again. It was comfortable, clean, the hotel staff was friendly. We enjoyed the breakfast too! Fantastic location of you are in town for an event at Bowman Grey stadium.
