OK stay but......

Had to wait for room even though arrived at 5pm (Receptionist was very helpful though). Given an accessible room but did not book one which was quite small given advertised as deluxe. Skirting boards in bathroom needs painting. Had to ask for drinks at dinner even though restaurant was quiet at that time. Buffet was good. Very long 20 minute wait for drinks to be served in the bar, very disappointing. Breakfast food was very good but restaurant was chaos and extremely busy! Intertnet access was patchy. Grounds were lovely and good location for Windsor.

Lovely setting and amazing interiors. We love plane watching so great to see planes overhead from Heathrow. Room a little on small side but had everything we needed including an iron and ironing board. Duvet was very thick n heavy which would be great in winter but much too warm in summer.

Great hotel - perfect for Legoland!

Great stay at the De Vere, perfect for our family break and very handy for our visit to Legoland. Fantastic breakfast selection and nice feel throughout the hotel following the refurbishment. As has been mentioned, air conditioning in rooms would be a nice touch as they get very stuffy in recent warm weather and also a bit unusual in this level of hotel not to have a fridge in the room which would have been helpful. Overall great for families - we made use of the pool a couple of times during our 2 night stay.

No Air conditioning and a window that barely opens

The hotel was fine bar the lack of air conditioning. It was sweltering and we got very little sleep as a result. The window only opened very slightly (legitimate safety reasons) and a fan was supplied. However the rooms were priced at the higher end and summers are only getting hotter.

Superb hotel - Need to invest in 'in-room' comfort

This hotel is simply beautiful. The grounds are superb, and the overall amenties and facilties are great. However, I just don't get why any hotel in this day and age doesn't offer air-conditioning in the rooms. I mean, it's standard in a Premier Inn these days. As it happens, a previous resident of our room had already (praise be) smashed the window lock which would otherwise limit the window to opening no more than a fist-width, which therefore at least allowed a breeze into the room. However, overall this hotel is stunning and I would recommend.

The hotel is very large and very busy. It was very hot by night and the one fan provided was not adequate to ensure a good night's sleep for a family of four. All staff were friendly and efficient

The room was really small, pretty much a bed and that’s it. That too, the beds were two single beds with separate blankets pushed together - and they would move quite a bit. The area was beautiful. There was a wedding in the hotel on our first day there so it was super busy. Took time to get a table in the breakfast restaurant and the place was pretty hectic. The hotel is quite large so can be difficult to navigate. The gym is pretty decent and well equipped. The pool area is average but nice for families / kids. Not really a pool to swim in. Overall don’t think it was worth what we paid to stay there.
