Pleasantly surprised!

The front desk was willing and ready to help check us in quickly and the breakfast with its crispy bacon was a pleasant surprise and much better than the Country Inn and Suites we stayed in in Nashville. One complaint, at 5:15a an alarm went off that we couldn’t find, we searched thinking it was in our room. After 15 minutes it went silent but then started again. Turns out It was in the adjacent hotel room. I wanted to pound on the wall! I don’t know if you can add anymore sound deadening to the rooms but that was ridiculous. Still, we would recommend the Microtel in Wheeling’s Highlands.

It is nice to not have dirty carpet in the room, yet the floors are not wet mopped and very dirty. They may be dusted, but not cleaned. Highly recommend to wear slippers or socks in the room. This is our second stay here and may be the last for this reason.

Easy check-in and clean

Front desk was friendly and helpful. The room was supposed to sleep five, but the window seat/bed was not was the pictures advertised (much smaller). Otherwise, everything was very nice. Easy online check-in was great!
