Hard Pass

One word - tired. Refresh loooong overdue. The primary elevator moves erratically and needs to be reminded that it has arrived at a given floor. Creaking floors and tissue paper walls. Give this one a hard pass.

Great location with easy access to Yellowstone Park. Lots of fun dining and shopping options nearby. Hotel super friendly, quiet, has a pool!, comfortable beds. Wish we had booked two nights here and used as a base for park…instead of staying in the park one night.

Yellowstone Vacation

Hotel staff was very friendly from the beginning to end of our stay. Breakfast every morning and very clean rooms. Location is perfect for visiting Yellowstone and you can walk from hotel to downtown spots. Would definitely stay here again.

Great Location Near the Park

Our stay at this inn was exactly as expected. It is only a few blocks from the entry to Yellowstone National Park. Our room was clean and well-maintained. My special request was accommodated with ease, and I appreciate the friendly staff at the front desk. Overnight parking is complex but easily solved when we figured out which elevator was most accessible from the underground parking to our room.

We stayed in the two-room suite/kitchenette. LOVED IT! It was great to return to a room where we could cook our own meals if we wanted to. You can only eat out so many times; it gets boring. We appreciated how quiet it was at the hotel, breakfast was great, and we really liked the nightly smores. Great landing spot after visiting the park and West Yellowstone all day.

Very accommodating

We had requested a room with easy access for my friend who has difficulty walking. The staff were amazing. They helped us with parking and made sure our room was on the first floor. Being able for them to accommodate this request during the summer tourist season was a pleasant surprise.

I stayed at Gray Wolf Inn & Suites in West Yellowstone. Our room was on the second floor. Upon getting off the elevator, the chlorine smell in the hallway was overwhelming, likely from maintenance staff cleaning rooms nearby. When we entered our room, the chlorine odor was so strong that we had to open the window, which was difficult to slide and revealed a window screen covered in dust and dirt that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in over a year. After taking a shower, I discovered the in-room hairdryer wasn’t working. I tried calling the front desk, but the room phone was also not functioning. I walked down to the front desk to ask for a replacement hairdryer, but was told they didn’t have any extras available. After informing the front desk about the broken in-room phone, a maintenance staff member very promptly came to our door. However, by then we were tired and ready to rest, so I told him there was no need to fix it anymore. Noise was another issue — we could clearly hear footsteps from the floor above, as well as people walking by our room, which made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. This was a last-minute booking, and I’m glad it was only for one night. Other than its convenient location, I wouldn’t return to this hotel. Next time, I’d rather stay somewhere inside the park — at Yellowstone Hotel & Cabins, we paid $100 less for one of the cabins and had a much better experience or for $20 more we stayed in the room at Canyon Lodge.

I was not pleased about the non cleaning of the rooms. It was upon request. We were there for four days. One day of cleaning should happen without request. Also, the breakfast was not good. The same thing every day. The tables were not being kept up as people left. I have stayed in many hotels that had continental breakfast, and this was the worst. The parking was unbelievable. Need to work on the parking situation. Otherwise, the hotel was very clean, friendly staff and convenient.

Worth more than we paid!

They went over the top with amanities that proved very useful. Firepits and free smores packages. 20% discount at Yellowstone General Stores, which are located throughout the park and have a wide array of merchandise. There were many amenities we didn't use. Oh, and just a few blocks from the main entrance to the park. (The howling wolf at the entrance was a big hit with the grandkids)
