Great place to be easy check in. The hotel is easy to navigate and the mall is attached to the hotel and the breakfast is yummy for the start to your day. If you want grab the local paper and sit in front of the fireplace and relax and enjoy the paper or other books that are there. I grab a coffee from down stairs walk around it just like being at home.

Spent two nights, hotel and meals were nice. Everything was good, except they did not have tv reception in the rooms. Said they don't have it because it gets too windy. That is not true, it is always windy in Waterton, plus they had tv coverage in the main building at the lounge/bar, so they do have tv reception. I believe they just cut off tv to the rooms to save money. A bit disappointing. I have been here before a few times in winter, and they never did this. They however would let you borrow a dvd player with a selection of dvd's, however there was no remote with the dvd player, and as most people know using a dvd and its menus without a remote is very restricted, and cumbersome.

The super 8 is a reasonably priced facility for winter access to Yellowstone National Park. I was looking for a warm place to rest and a good hot shower each day after returning from trekking in the park. It was exactly what I was looking for. Okay breakfast--hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, cereal, bread, toaster waffles, yogurt were the fare. Juice was available as well as very good coffee--that was the highlight for me.

Room was generally as advertised, however it had the following faults that really detracted from the overall experience.
1) The light bulbs were no more than 40 watts. With the lights on, I couldn't see into my suitcase. It was too dim to read by. I actually went to the hardware store and bought bulbs.
2) The second bedroom only had sheer curtains so when you actually wanted it dark it was too light to sleep.
3) The living room TV did not work.
4) The bedroom pillows were awful.
5) The bath towels were small and really worn out.
The above problems could all be fixed in about 15 minutes with an investment of about $50, which made it all the more annoying that management has never saw fit to make them.

My king room was adequate. The heat/AC is thermostatically controlled. A wall mount make -up mirror at sink and heat lamp in shower room were nice touches. Bed was very comfortable and supportive. Most rooms have directly to outside doors. Outside wall could be very cool to touch but heat is adequate.

Stunning fireplace in lobby with Montana landscape murals and cowhide upholstery. Our king room was relatively small but a had a unique landscape mural over the bed and lovely glass shower, contemporary bedding. Downside is NO BATHTUBS in the whole hotel (so forget about a luxury bubble bath during your stay). The phone in our room did not work, so we had to use our cell to order room service or ask questions. There was no coffee machine in the room which was a disappointment - only room service for coffee. No fridge (and really small ice bucket). No vending machines other than soda, so be prepared to call room service for a spendy snack.
