The location is excellent - right near Kloof st. The hotel felt very safe. My room was quite large and had nice amenities. However, the property felt more like an upscale hostel than a boutique hotel. There was constantly noise coming from downstairs (music, party sounds, etc). If that wasn't enough, the fumes of fried food from the restaurant below permeated my room. Between the oily smell and the noise, I did not sleep particularly well.

Staff was absolutely amazingly friendly. Appreciated the free shuttle bus service to and from the waterfront. Good value for the price. Excellent food at the rooftop restaurant. Inexpensive uber from the airport to the hotel.

If staying in Cape Town, I would highly recommend staying at the Tree House. The rooms are modern and clean, the breakfast is great. However, the real value of this hotel is the staff. You could not ask for a kinder group of people. From the moment you arrive to the time you need to check out, the staff are always checking if there is anything they can help with, or any places they can recommend. That type of atmosphere is very hard to capture and this team do it seamlessly. 100% will return if I am ever in Cape Town.

Had a great experience at the Southern Sun Cape Sun. Location was right in the heart of City Centre, making it easy to get anywhere the city I needed to go. It’s especially close to the V&A Waterfront. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
