"Cozy hotel "
Me and my friend really enjoyed our stay in this hotel , nothing to complain about really, allocation is perfect, next to the famous Long street, breakfast variety was big, staff was helpful and friendly, the only thing is that the lift was broken in our last day so we had to carry our suit cases all of way from the 4th floor but guess if we would ask staff to send someone to help us it wouldn't be an issue at all.

Really lovely old house in a beautiful area, with good access to the Waterfront, and a lovely park opposite. Everyone was very friendly and made me feel very welcome. Amazing value for money, and great breakfasts! Thank you for a great stay.

"Nice hotel, scary location "
So maybe it's just me! The hotel was great, we stayed in the nearby annex building, big open bedroom with everything you need. Only thing I didn't like was the open plan bathroom. Now I know it's 'cool' to have an open shower that is a feature of the bedroom but the toilet to? Come on! It's only blocked off by some frosted glass and has an opening at the top. It just isn't private enough. Staff were average, actually the nicest were at breakfast. Check in was run of the mill, when asking for directions on day there were three at reception, one service, two looking down at a computer. I waited for some form of acknowledgment, not even a 'we will be with you shortly'. I walked off - customers in this place clearly aren't a priority. Checking out the guy seem confused and asked me three times if we had paid for the room. It was booked through Expedia! Dinner in the restaurant was pretty disgusting, I had a Fishermans plate with brown prawns, couldn't stomach it with limited choice also. Oh and be prepared for beggars galore on your doorstep. Almost kinda scary at night. Would I stay again? Sure. Wouldn't let the above bother me. Clean, big room and central location it's free parking... Well priced to. Just a few tweaks in the customer service area would make this place a delight!

"Ideal hotel/apartment complex for Waterfront"
These apartments are situated just a few minutes walk from the V&A Waterfront at Cape Town so ideal for anyone visiting the area, especially if it's a first time and you don't know your way around. They are very clean and well equipped and the complex is very secure.

"Nice, close to public transportation but had bugs."
I loved this hotel it was very convenient and close to public transportation. This facility is new and in very good condition. The staff is pleasant. I stayed in one of the Island room which was very nice; however, I saw bugs in the room 2 nights out of my four night stay. When I called the front desk I was asked did I take a photo and that they never heard of bugs being in the rooms before (John the Night Manager) Also, I was told that he could not move me because there were no clean rooms available and that the Day Manager would contact me but never did. When I saw the large spider in the bathroom in the middle of the night my first reaction was not to find my camara and take a picture. I just wanted it gone so I flushed it down the toilet. However, Subsequent to that, I saw another bug, not sure what it was but this time I knew to take a picture then call the front desk. Hotel staff came to my room and took a picture of the bug and left it there. No one at the One & Only addressed this issue with me at all. They acted as though it never happened. Even though I would still recommend this hotel, next time I'm in South Africa, I will give the Cape Grace a try.

"Nice Hotel with excellent staff. "
Went for a short break with my husband just before Christmas. Hotel is in a great location just opposite the beach, with great views. But what made it special was the staff, who are always happy to see you and help you. Would definitely return again to Cape Town and be staying at this hotel again.

"Not close to beach. We had to take a taxi ."
very comfortable. close to nice restaurants. Not close to the waterfront. We took a taxi that cost 50 rand each way. This is a nice three star. Very clean and in a safe area. Emma the lady that runs the hotel is very pleasant and does a lot to make sure one is comfortable. Breakfast was sufficient.

Cape Town is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Cape Town, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Cape Town hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
