Mediocre - not bad not good - found hair

Positives: room was spacious, good location above the Friendship Heights Metro Station. Cons: two of us sneezed constantly - probably not clean enough since they let pets stay with people. We found hairs on our beds that clearly weren’t ours. The breakfast was mediocre - no soda machine (wasn’t working), all food was low quality - low quality scrambled eggs, clearly from frozen potatoes, from frozen sausage, and the omelette turns out runny. On the third day they suddenly didn’t allow people to take their own food from the buffet and had every station turned the other way so you had to ask for each item. So clearly someone was upset.. Also, when I arrived early they said there was no room ready (that’s fine), but didn’t take my name or anything … and 30 minutes later they called me begging me to give my accessible room to someone else if possible… funny how suddenly they asked me for a favor over the phone after not giving me the time of day at the desk in person.

From the moment i checked in I felt at home. The concierge was so welcoming and pleasant! The room was beyond my expectations. Spacious. Comfortable. I enjoyed Happy Hour and Breakfast...all top-notch. I plan to return to take advantage of the pool and fitness center.

Hotel located next to alot of restaurants in walking distance even a little Whole Foods. Parking garage is attached to hotel. Says discounted parking but when we checked out they validated the parking pass and it was free. That was a big plus!

The first two days were fine , they have a Cheesecake Factory on the premises and they offer breakfast which is pretty decent, they also have a happy hour and you get a voucher for two free drinks. The issue I had was after a late night and getting my food from the Cheesecake Factory, I went down stairs and came back to my room and couldn’t get back in. The staff had left for the day and they tried to tell me to wait till the next day with my food and belongings trapped inside, the woman behind the counter Alicia was very nice and helpful she did the best she possibly could , I hope she is appreciated there, they finally got a hold of the maintenance and after two hours I was let back into my room but the door was still broke so I had to switch to a new room which was a major inconvenience l, cause I had to move all my stuff and food , but they gave me a free day so I guess they mad it right, overall it’s nice hotel other than that incident it was cool

Older rooms. Hotel is literally in an abandoned mall which sucks because the whole purpose of us staying there was to be close to a mall. The room also had a weird noise coming from vents that was fixed once I told front desk. One night I needed a fork and the lady at front desk was over whelmed and told me to go into the dark cafeteria to get the fork myself. Lucky a nice gentlemen that seemed to work in housekeeping helped me out. Sort of a dead surrounding area because there are few stores left. Stingy with giving late checkout. Long drive with lots of traffic to downtown DC from here. There seems to be a kids swimming class at the pool on Saturdays.

This hotel is in an excellent location with many options for visiting Washington DC. However, it did not seem complete and had no decor. The elevators were confusing. On the weekend the kids took over the indoor pool and hot tub. Overall, the staff was helpful and friendly.
