I did not stay for breakfast. The quad was fine and the staff were great. There was an elevator out, so that was a bit inconvenient. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend to others!

Terrible experience — would never stay here again. I stayed at Generator for 3 nights and not ONCE did they clean my room. I put the “please clean my room” sign on the door and left early every morning around 8:00–8:30am, and nobody bothered to come. My room stayed dirty the entire stay. Also, the water in the showers for the last TWO days was cold. This is not a cheap hostel where you expect zero service — this is supposed to be a hotel. I’ve stayed in dozens of places all over the world and I’ve never had a place ignore cleaning requests like this. And when I complained, they didn’t offer any compensation or anything at all. Zero accountability. They clearly don’t take cleaning seriously and they don’t care about customer experience. Absolutely do NOT recommend. I regret staying here.

I only spent about 10 hours at the hotel so my opinion is not one to used to ultimately dictate where you stay. The place was nice. It had much needed personality unlike others. It looked like they cleaned up and personified another existing chain hotel. It’s offers plenty of options as far as places stay. I’m a huge fan of this. Although I won’t use dormitory accommodations, it’s perfect for students visiting the area. On top of this, the classic choices are available. I would recommend trying it out but like I said, my experience is limited. The hotel had a cool coffee bar and a cute restaurant and a bar inside. I didn’t visit either but would have been worth so if so we’re staying longer.
