This hotel was perfect for me. I stayed three nights for meetings on the Hill. The room was small but well appointed, fresh, clean, modern and had everything I needed including an espresso machine and a huge window that let in tons of light during the day but also had a well fitted bins that completely darkened the window at night. The coffee shop was great and convenient. I got one free drink or snack per day as part of my VIP stay so I got myself a glass of wine each night. The rooftop bar/restaurant was great and had amazing views. The bed was even great. Would stay here again for sure.

Perfect Blend of Historic Charm and Modern Comfort

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had an amazing stay at the Arlo Hotel in Washington, DC! From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the thoughtful blend of historic and modern architecture—the perfect balance between the charm of the renovated apartment building and the sleek, contemporary design of the new hotel build. The attention to detail throughout the hotel made the experience even more enjoyable. I loved the labeled light switches (such a small but incredibly convenient touch), as well as the curated in-room merchandise, including stylish slides with the hotel’s logo and a handy umbrella. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep after exploring the city. The location is fantastic, with easy access to all the major landmarks, making sightseeing effortless. I would absolutely stay here again on my next trip to DC and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a stylish, comfortable, and well-thought-out hotel experience!

Staff was always nice and polite. Rooms are clean and new. Dissappointed with the urban which was supposed to include 2 bottled water per day. We only received it on the first day but I had to ask. The succeeding days we were told they are out of bottled water and offered us tap water. The restaurant that serves breakfast is understaffed, only 3 people working but the the food is good.

Condescending, judgemental snooty staff. 6 hours to have canned water delivered to the room, finally went a got it myself! Complained to the front desk about their pathetic service and instead of then taking accountability was told they didn't like my "tone". Forget this place! I will never stay here again.

The hotel is really nice and new but we found what looked to us like a bed bug in our bed (I have photos and videos) but the manager who didn’t even come and look at it personally called to say it’s nothing to worry about and rejected our concerns. He was rude and did his best to downplay and reject our concerns and did the bare minimum to make us feel better about the situation. We had no choice but to stay in that room that night and were moved to another room late the following afternoon. Also when we returned on the Sunday evening there was 5 police cars full of officers trying to disperse people from a roof top party meant for hotel guests but was predominantly attended by locals. Wasn’t a great look for a nice hotel.

Arlo is a beautiful hotel in the heart of DC. The Metra is 2 blocks away, there is a nice parking lot with 24hr security across the street. All in all a great experience for a first time visit to our nations capital.Everyone we came into contact with was very helpful and patient with us as out of towners.

Mandatory charges for not required add-ons

Hotel is clean and convenient. Room was comfortable and amenities are good. Main issue was the 40$ daily charge for add-ons that go unused. 15$ credit in the bar, 45 mins of bike rental (that they didn't have codes during my stay so I didn't enjoy) and "use of amenities" (pool, restaurant, gym) which for any normal hotel are included. The whole thing felt like a money grab The other issue was that one night there was an event at the hotel with very rowdy guests. There was so much noise in the hotel and the street that police was called and 7 police cars had to come to disperse the crowd past 11pm

Restaurant needs more time to adjust. I ordered avacado toast 3 times and it was significantly different each time. Menus need a better selection of food. Hot chocolate was cold. Ordered decaf and coffee machine was broken. They didn’t have drip decaf. Bodega was ok and you could order some hot meals but it had limited seating for a group.

This place is located in the walking distance to most of the city attractions. There are plenty of nice restaurants close by and a few blocks from Chinatown. The room service was awesome and the staffs are helpful and friendly. The place is clean. I love the texting feature they have, so I was able to request room service easily. We didn't realize we had rhe "Do Not Disturb" light on and someone texted me asking if we needed any room service that day, and I'm glad they did because we had some food containers in our room from the night before. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Arlo and definitely would stay there again.

The hotel is very nice and I would definitely come back. Everything is in very good condition and clean. The staff is helpful and nice. The only minus is that the rooftop bar is most of the days a party location with very loud music and crowds of non hotel guests, which does not allow a chilled evening with good drinks. In particular, as the rooftop is closed on the other days.
