Beautiful property, very friendly employees. We really enjoyed our stay. It was in a great location which made getting to popular tourist spots easy. Our only complaint would be that the beds were really firm for our liking.

Although at first glance the hotel seems upscale, but the features are not and the room was not as clean as they advertise. The Livingroom blinds would not close. The washer was off balance and did not work properly. The beds and pillows were VERY uncomfortable. Parking is extremely expensive, so we ended up parking at a garage a mile away. Very inconvenient. No coffee was provided for the morning. I would not stay again.

Originally I had high hopes for our 4 night stay at this hotel. However, the first night I found that the TV in the master bedroom did not work. I complained; a staff member tried to correct this to no avail. The next day, after a promise to fix this, nothing was done by the evening of our return. I complained again, and another staff member came up to fix this, leaving me three (3) separate remotes to work with. Nothing worked. On day 3 I was asked about the status and told the staff that the TV still did not work; they wanted me to spend more time showing them the problem. By then (Day 3) I was exasperated with this situation. Finally, at check out on Friday morning, May 23rd, I complained and asked for compensation for my trouble. Per the request of staff member "Steven", I gave him my contact information (phone and email), and Steven promised me that I would get a response that day, May 23rd. There has been no response.

We loved it here. No restaurant but Panera next door was great. And great coffee across the street. Loved the location, the bar, the cinema room, the cleanliness of the property and our 2 bedroom room was spectacular. There is a rite aid or similar down the street and we got a few things which made some meals and snacks super easy. Loved the comfy couch and chairs after a big day of walking the city. We’d stay here again for sure! Definitely suggest making a reservation at founding fathers down the street. We had a great dinner there.

Great hotel some hidden costs

Great property and location. All DC hotels are expensive compared to most of the country. AKA adds a destination fee and charges for self parking. Desk clerk acted like she was doing me a favor by letting me park there.

Not the right place for a short visit

The hotel was pretty good but a few draw backs. My room wasn’t entirely clean when I checked in. There were dead bugs in the bathroom and crumbs on the counter. If you stay less than 7 days, they do not provide house keeping to clean your room. You have to request it for an extra fee. They will not let you check in before 3:00 PM. I asked politely if it would be possible and I was hit with an unpleasant “no”. If you book through hotels.com, they will make you fill out a credit card processing sheet. They will charge you $250 deposit for accidentals and I am having a lot of issues getting it back at the moment. If you are coming for a short weekend, I would not recommend the place. If you’re coming for an extended stay, this would be a great place.
